That's that Eurobasket competition that you just tried to use to play up Taylor. What happened to that standard?

Taylor starred in the Eurobasket Tournament for Sweden.

Tyndale was first team starring for...Ironi Ramat Gan

One is an international tournament...and the other is...the Israeli league.

If you cannot spot the difference...

Taylor sucks by NBA standards imo, but Tyndale is nowhere near good enough to even make it in the first place.

Best of luck to him though and good luck to you on your potential NBA career.

And he hasn't sniffed an NBA team. I know you don't like Taylor, but come on now..

Tyndale's biggest issue on why he hasn't cracked a NBA roster is because he's a undersized shooting guard that play like a small forward. That's my homie, but I can be honest. I'm just trying to express that Taylor has been disappointing and doesn't deserve his current spot on the roster right now based on his play. Just because he looked good in Eurobasket, that doesn't mean much, because like I said, I know a few local players personally that looked good overseas, but they don't deserve a NBA roster spot, especially not guaranteed money

I have nothing against Taylor. I'm not spewing hatred. I'm just being honest, and what I do hate is that it's coming off as brute discretion when I'm just trying to express my opinion as a fan that's seen and matched up against high level competition. For instance, John Salmons, The Morris Twins, and Sean Singletary are regulars around the local scene. I'd say all of them are better than Taylor, and even they get outplayed by 6'7" local guys on occasion from my bare eyes

Taylor is a second round pick. You're acting like we drafted him in the first round. On what he is getting paid its fairly easy to keep him on the roster and see what happens.

He doesn't even make a million a year, and can contribute, especially on the defensive end. Who else would you rather sign for less than a million a year?

I feel you broski. Taylor was a 2nd round pick that got a extended chance on a tanking team that most 2nd rounders don't get before being washed out of the league like Shan Foster for example. I don't see how he make the team unless he come back from that injury better than he was and it'll be a cold day in hell with icicles made of sweat before that happen.

I was thinking the same thing about you and 'JDR720', but...

LOL. JDR720 is the freaking man. I could only wish to be the poster he is. And I truly mean that.

Let's be honest, he was pretty horrible even defensively before he got hurt this year.

Yeah, but I found myself taking up for him when someone compared him to Philly rec ballers and such.

It was a extreme expression that wasn't any worst than you saying that Biyombo has a long way to go to be a solid player

I like Biyombo, but he still has a long ways to go to be the player we all hoped he would be. Wrong thread to start discussing him though.

Elite rim protection and elite rebounding? That's pretty much what I expected. Just needs to work offensively.

The guy killed Eurobasket, which is not great competition but infinite times better than rec league.

I know plenty of local Philly players that could've dropped 20 points per game in EuroBasket on a losing team if they didn't have U.S. citizenship that are currently dropping 20 points per game in Russian, Turkish, and Italian leagues. This debate is baseless if you're not familiar with the competition from a parallel view. I respect professional athletes, but they're not far from human. I can assure you that

The NBA is the best basketball league in the world by far.

When people discuss athleticism of players etc, they are talking about by NBA standards.

Doug McDermott is a freak athlete compared to the average person for example.

Forgive me for thinking that you're exaggerating not just your own ability but also random rec league players.

I find this discussion so ridiculous I don't actually want to engage in it.

I'm a pretty good defender and I'm a decent passer who is unselfish, maybe I can be backup PG for us?

I'd be delusional to even think I could, this is no knock on you.

I would try Sixers. Nobody knows if they actually want good players
