Re: Does Kemba stay in Charlotte?
Kemba is a good player, but he's not all star caliber quiet yet... Making the all star team as a PG these days means you have to be elite (barring injuries). He's not on that level yet.

Re: Does Kemba stay in Charlotte?
I think Kemba will stay, mainly because I see him as a very loyal player to our organization. He knows we took a chance on drafting him when everyone else was passing up on him because he was thought to be too short and too small physically to keep up with PG in the NBA.

That play was so nasty it needed its own topic. Iverson like crossover with a one footed Dirk jumpshot.

Eh not that impressive. Went through someones legs and hit a fader. Good to see him continue to be very active in the iffseason though.

If thats not impressive than you have never played basketball its not easy going through someones legs like that.

Lol. I've played tons of basketball, and went between someone's legs plenty of times. It isn't hard at all for an average street baller to do, let alone a good NBA player with someone with Kembas handles. Give me a break. It was a nice little move in a glorified pickup game. Nothing more.

True, with his handles its almost expected. but that was a nice one footed fade away I havnt seen from him before. If you watch the video of Price working with Kemba he has Kemba doing one footed floaters, hopefully thats a sign hes learning new moves from him.

Re: The Kemba Walker Thread 2.0
Kemba was featured in CBS Eye On Basketball "Young Guns: Seven potential breakout point guards" article by Matt Moore today
Kemba Walker, 23, Charlotte Bobcats: Walker quietly had a solid season for the woeful Bobcats. He proved he has a place in the league, and ticked up his shooting percentages slightly. His assist percentage stayed the same and he still features below-average percentages, but if Brandon Jennings is going to be hyped as much as he is, Walker deserves some credit for how he's grown his game.
This year, the Bobcats aren't dramatically better, but should at least have the talent to be "not completely terrible." A lot of that will hinge on Walker. He needs to make a jump either in his field goal percentage or three-point percentage, and find more chemistry with his teammates. (A 35 percent assist percentage -- percentage of available assists made is a reasonable target.)

I just wanted to remind you guys that at least we aren't the pistons. As apparently they are deciding between Billups (a fossil) and Stuckey (not a pg) for who their starting PG will be.
I can confidently say that Sessions, our backup, is better than those tow combined at this point....

Does it really matter who your SG is when your PG is Jennings?

Not starting PG, but starting SG. Either way, that position is a issue for them because of the reasons you stated. I don't want to rush to a verdict on how good or bad the Pistons could be because they could be either or depending on how their frontcourt gels throughout the season

Re: The Kemba Walker Thread 2.0
Jennings is a net negative on the court. I'd rather have Rodney Stuckey as my point guard than Brandon Jennings. I would seriously rather have Augustin on the court than Jennings. Both allow their opponents to run wild on them, but at least Augustin won't brick six 18-foot fadeaways in a row and continue to shoot it. If I was Detroit, I'd be looking to trade Jennings+Stuckey for a point guard that doesn't suck and start him alongside Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
Detroit has a great frontcourt- Drummond, Monroe, and Smith should take all the minutes at the 4 and 5, but it doesn't matter because they've got nobody to get them the ball, except for the 15-20 minutes Chauncey Billups is on the court (not even playing PG lol). With Cheeks coaching, don't expect that situation to be any better. I still think we're getting a lottery pick from the Pistons in 2014.

Discussed kemba a lot with my brother (bulls fan) and I've come to the conclusion Kemba is D Rose Lite. I think we should let Kemba do his thing and the assists will come... He has PG vision and doesn't often pass up opportunities to get in clever little passes that get us easy 2 points! I see 6.5 APG this season atLEAST. it's scary to think how good he'd be with a great SG with a sweet 3pt stroke as well as these brilliant post players.
I don't see this lad leaving anytime soon, were right on the brink of gearing up for a long awaited playoff run and I think he realises that, honestly exciting times ahead for us fans. Everyone is progressing.

Rose is a solid comparison, even if Kemba never reaches his level of scoring. Kemba's level of D, rebounding work, and ability to take care of the basketball are better than Rose's has ever been. Kemba's not going to be a 25ppg scorer or anything close to it, but the 7-8 assists that Rose gets should be the goal for Kemba this year.

Definitely, would be ecstatic if he could replicate Rose's assists. Even if his PPG drops to around 15, can't have everything in life! Love having one of our players top 5 steals, we do suprise, even ourselves!
