fatlever wrote:a rundown of injuries to starters/top bench guys on playoff teams?

lakers - kobe
bulls - rose
celtics - rondo
warriors - lee
thunder - westbrook
pacers - granger
knicks - amare
nuggets - gallinari
houston - lin (maybe)

8/9 of 16 playoff teams are missing a key starter due to injury.

A rundown of some other important injuries:

Pacers - George playing through sprained ligament in his finger (it's supposedly somewhat bothering him, kudos to him that he's beasting nevertheless), Hill has a problem with his hip, if I remember correctly.

Hawks - Pachulia is out. It's actually pretty important because the Pacers might sweep them just because the Hawks don't have any chance to win the battle in the paint. Indiana has grabbed 35% of its misses on the offensive glass so far. And Louis Williams, of course.

Celtics - I had almost completely forgot about Sullinger.

Bulls - It's amazing that Noah has been performing so well after it looked like the plantar fasciitis is killing him in game one.

Grizzlies - Remember the abdominal strain that kept Bosh out for half of the playoffs last year? Well, Gasol is playing through an abdominal tear. Seems like Memphis and Indiana (talking about George) have both kept these news low-key, even though those are some annoying injuries to play through.

Nuggets - Lawson had that plantar fascia tear before the playoffs. Not sure how he can put up 35 points at this point.

Warriors - Remember, Brandon Rush?

Lakers - Do I really need to do this?

Spurs - Diaw had that liposuction and Splitter just sprained his ankle.

I think I mentioned all of them. Any way, a lot of great guys are banged up. At this point it would only be fair, if, let's say, Haslem suffers an ACL tear, Wade sprains his wrist and Norris Cole injures his ankle. I'm only half-joking about this.

Great overtime game between the Bulls and Nets. I think the Bulls pull it out but I'm hoping for a 4th overtime.

I'm a guilty party. When we got the Bobcats I was like "F yeah, I'ma cop one of those bright orange bitches!" Sad thing is I commenced to lose a ton of weight and now that jersey looks baggy as crap on me. But I wore it to my first and only Bobcats game last season when we beat the Magic (Diaw's first benching) so I guess it's my lucky jersey.

I am also guilty.

I have an authentic Okafor jersey.

Can't remember when I wore it last though. Maybe to mow the lawn?

Too bad the Thunder traded Harden instead of Westbrook. Harden+Durant would have been a blast to watch for years and could actually beat Miami.

As much as Nate Robinson won this game P.J. Carlesimo lost this game. I think there were 4 minutes left in the fourth quarter when Evans got his first breather in the second half while Wallace was left in. You can't **** win a series against the Bulls (out of the all the teams) playing 3-on-5. He was too late to sub them out before the hack-a-Evans/Wallace started (which resulted in them going 0-4), he seemingly doesn't understand offensive/defensive substitutions (this happened both in the end of regulation and in overtime 2 as well - did you notice that Joe Johnson made that clutch scoop shot over 4 defenders!? That's why because it's safe to completely ignore Evans and nobody paid attention to Wallace in the corner. Why the **** don't you put C.J. Watson in for Wallace, if the play you draw up has Gerald standing in the corner anyway!?!? Inexcusable).

Kudos to Nate, but if C.J. Watson makes that wide-open dunk when they were up by 14 or Carlesimo doesn't screw up the rotation, the Nets would have tied this one.

That being said, that was one of the best games I've ever seen live.

oh and, fats, we completely forgot about Andrew Bynum. Perhaps, the most disappointing storyline of this season.
