Nice interview with Al talking about how everything on offense is much better now that he's not posting up 30 times a game and the flow is much better now that a lot of plays for him involve just catching and finishing quickly. Glad he recognizes that, and that Clifford appears to have gotten that message as well. That recognition goes a long way.

I think Al was cursed by an old Gypsy women like in Stephen Kings "Thinner". Hes going to be about 200 pounds by the end of the season and dead by opening day next year.

So Al can play PF now.

I don't think losing seven-eighths of a pound is that relevant.

I'm assuming he meant 7 to 8 pounds. Surely Plowright wouldn't tweet about 7/8ths. I lose that much in my morning piss.

Al could lose 130 pounds and it still won't make him mobile enough to guard opposing bigs

Al was really bad tonight on both ends. Glad to see that Clifford benched him. Thru 7 games we have seen Al benched twice and screamed at publicly once. The days of Al being immune to Clifford's wrath are over.

al got his ass handed to him by a rookie, possibly a future all-nba guy, but still a rookie.

last night was a glaring example to anyone where the league's big men are going and where they were. al is a by-gone big man.

When you're benched for Spencer Hawes for defensive purposes, the writing's on the wall. :)

Al should have been given an assist on that highlight dunk from Lavine. Horrible.

KAT looked great. He's going to be a serious player in this league.

The writing is on the wall and has been since pre-season. Unless there's some unknown scheduling quirk that allows Al to play against Zaza and Dirk every other game his days are numbered. He'll no doubt have some good scoring efforts but it'll be empty calories with his horrific not even trying defense. Even when he dropped 30 on Dallas the team wasn't better with him on the court while also embarrassing himself bickering with his coach about defense.

Last night was the second game Al sat in a crucial stretch. The previous time the team trailed Atlanta so Clifford justified it as needed shooting and spacing for a comeback. This time the team was ahead and Clifford went with Hawes. When a coach goes with Hawes because he's quicker and better on defense it's basically over.

Good on Cody for showing what he can do in the post with a team spread out to use his quickness. Another night where the team struggled with Cody playing with Al but then instantly improved when he sat. Cody getting center minutes and Frank about to get an expanded role coincides almost perfectly with trade limitations expiring.

If he's not traded the odds of a buyout are very high.

I would be shocked if we buy him out. I do think the possibility of him being traded is decent, the problem is not many teams need Al unless they use him as a Kanter like sub.

His trade market is close to zero. If they can't trade him and finally decide he no longer should get big minutes (he shouldn't) then its benching or a buyout.

And after that spectacle in Dallas no way the team wants Al wasting on the bench watching his future earnings melt away.

dallas would trade for him. they need to decide to either tank or get better. al would give them a chance at being better.

jefferson for either felton or harris and zaza works.

that would be a dream scenario for Charlotte. Zaza is also expiring and Harris compliments the roster perfectly.

I wonder if the weight loss has affected his touch around the ring.

His body might just be a little too broken down for the weight loss to matter. There was a play in the second half against NY where he got and offense rebound with tons of space and in perfect position to score, and when he landed and tried to jump back up to finish it looked like he could barely hold his body up (let alone jump) and he ended up missing a really awkward put back while barely getting the ball to the rim. His mobility and jumping is non-existent and he still gets noticeably fatigued very quickly.

Look at his per 36 and he's about the same, with higher FG%.
