Reality gonna set in now. This roster is crappy. Finish the season as one of the 5 worst teams. That'll do it. Jordan gonna be sick. Lol

Would be a tremendous gift if we lose out and claim a top 5 pick. Realistically, we snag pick 8 last second and possibly move up to 3 in the lottery.

You can blame the injuries and bad Clifford rotations or you could blame Cho for not having enough quality depth to allow it to happen. I wouldn't blame injuries when every other team has been as injured as us. We're just being exposed for how mediocre we are.

Even if we lose out and Orlando/LAL win out we'll be in a 3-way tie for 4-6. Best we can hope for is 6th but that's also a longshot.

Like I said, 7 is best case scenario. I would be absolutely ecstatic over that. What is our chance to get top-3 from there?

4.3% as it gradually go up 2% each pick up to #1.

That's 4.3% for pick 1. I think it's higher for top-3.

If we get pick 1 it's real simple, draft Okafor and trade him to the team that drafts Russell, netting an asset on top of it.

That's what we would do but we all know that Cho wouldn't do nothing so daring. Besides Russell can shoot so that doesn't fall into his database of building a defensive player into a scorer like he coerced Presti into doing at OKC with Westbrook.

I have no clue how anyone could be excited over a lottery pick. WE HAD TWO FIRST ROUNDERS LAST YEAR -- THEY BARELY PLAY AT ALL. What lottery pick do you think is going to come in and get meaningful minutes on this Clifford-coached team? Really. No rookie is going to get any meaningful minutes here, short of Cho basically forcing several layers of players off this team (Jefferson/Maxiell, Henderson/Lance, etc.) so that Clifford has absolutely no choice but to play him. I'd be more excited about the prospect of trading away our lottery pick + other stuff to bring in a more established player that (1) actually could make a difference and (2) actually might have Clifford play him.

If Hendo opts out I can see for sure Hezonja, Russell or Oubre getting meaningful minutes like Zeller did. They won't lay a red carpet down at SG for Lance or PJ.

But Hendo not gonna opt out. No team will be willing to pay him over 6M until the new salary cap raise kick in and that's when he expire.

I hear you but I'm just too disappointed in this team to want to continue it thru the playoffs. We have such little cap space to improve the team and barely enough money to even re-sign Mo if we decide to that the best hope for a influx of talent will be thru the draft and we all know the better the pick the better the chance at getting a star.

It's not like he's getting a max, they can structure a bump in his deal to reflect the cap going up. I think he's definitely opting out.

Why are people bitching about Henderson opting in for 6 mill? What about us having a PG, who isn't even the best PG on the team right now getting 48 mill over the next 4 years?

This plus I'm dubious that there's a vet worth trading our pick for that can cure this mess.

I think the PG is the NBA's RB. Every team has a competitive PG basically, trying to improve upon Kemba just seems fruitless. We need to draft a star SG/PF/C that puts Kemba firmly in role-player status and just deal with it.
