Re: Bouk 'Em, Danno: The James Bouknight Thread
Those extreme speeding citations have been repeated and at regular frequency. I'm way more concerned about that than the sleeping drunk in a parked car.
This guy is clearly a moron who doesn't learn. Happy to cut bait on his cancerous attitude at this stage.

Re: Box Office: The James Bouknight Thread
yosemiteben wrote:https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/charlotte-hornets/article267431857.htmlAccording to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police report, Bouknight was found just before 1 a.m. in a multi-story parking garage connected to apartments, a grocery store and the Stonewall Station light rail stop. Police radio communications, obtained from Broadcastify, indicate first responders from Medic, Charlotte Fire and CMPD attempted to rouse Bouknight and have him open the locked car.
When officers ran his car’s tag and ownership information, they learned Bouknight was the owner and that he had a pending concealed carry permit. Open carry is allowed under North Carolina law in cases where the gun is considered legal and the person is not banned from having a firearm.
...
Already, Bouknight was expected to appear in court in North Carolina later this month for a previous violation. Bouknight has several pending charges in Cabarrus County from November, including speeding and reckless driving. He was cited for driving 107 mph in a 65 mph zone, public records show.
Bouknight also has charges pending from at least two other times he was stopped in Mecklenburg County, according to court records.
Last Wednesday, according to court records, he was ticketed for driving 92 in a 50 mph zone, cited for both speeding and reckless driving. And he was ticketed in February for reckless driving. In both cases, his court date is set for December, records show. And a Mecklenburg County district attorney spokesperson confirmed Monday that a charge from November is also pending against Bouknight, involving a speeding offense of driving 84 mph in a 35 mph zone. In that instance, his case was one of close to 16,000 in Mecklenburg mistakenly dismissed by an error with the state’s record-keeping system but has since been reinstated, the official said.
107 in 65 in Cabarrus County definitely sounds like I-85. Traffic often moves in the 75-90 range but 107 is absurd. Not unheard of especially at night with less traffic, but still, very stupid. The only 50 zone I can even think of in Meck is 74/Independence ... 50 is a really low speed limit for that road but 92 there is ridiculous- seen it plenty of times unfortunately. Witnessed quite a few of street races on that area southeast of uptown.
Where the ACTUAL **** do you manage 84mph in a 35 zone in Mecklenburg? Most of the roads with lower limits are so curvy and have a bunch of stoplights (and the ones near uptown fairly narrow lanes) that 84mph is a straight death wish.
Dude's lucky he hasn't hurt anyone or himself.

Re: Bouk 'Em, Danno: The James Bouknight Thread
Bouk was probably getting those I85 Cabarrus speeding tickets driving back and forth to Greensboro for Swarm games, trying to turn 90 min drive down to 60.

At least it was doritos and not a bag of crack. Positive vibes only on game day

Is it just me, the camera angle, or does it look like he’s sleeping on the passenger side? Not to excuse any behavior, but if this is the case, I could see that resulting in him getting a pass on any sort of suspension or punishment from the hornets. And that’s also very sh**ty that he got a dwi for that.
Again, that’s what it looks like from this picture. I could be wrong.

he was allegedly conked out in the driver's seat of his $100K Benz, blocking access to the garage.
Sums it up, security called as he blocked the garage, they can’t wake him, see a gun and call police.
What a **** mess

Re: Bouk 'Em, Danno: The James Bouknight Thread
Blocking access to the garage is way worse than just being found in a parking space. That implies at some point he did try to drive the car drunk and then just stopped and passed out.
This plus his previous dui, plus his many other driving citations over the past year should result in him at the very least losing his license for a significant period of time.

Wait it gets worse....
He was blocking the exit

Thank god he didn't actually make it to the streets, where we know he likes to drive 100 mph.

Cut bait on this dude. The fact that they let the mf practice with the rest like nothing happened says everything you need to know about this franchise.
When I die, have Michael Jordan bury me so he can let me down one last time.

Sadly, he is not wrong. We've seen much less end in a blaze of bullets from police lately. This could have had a much worse outcome for everyone involved, bouk, the franchise, fans, the police on scene, the city. Can you imagine the backlash?

Re: Bouk 'Em, Danno: The James Bouknight Thread
This team should never draft another shooting guard again. Gerald Henderson is the best SG drafted since Kobe.
Otherwise:
Ricky Davis
Robert Vaden
PJ Hairston (technically not but you get it)
Malachi Richardson
Malik Monk
Grant Riller
James Bouknight
Scottie Lewis

Re: Bouk 'Em, Danno: The James Bouknight Thread
It would be kinda funny if Clifford broke his golden rule of sitting unproven rookies for Bouk after all this. lol
I think he's not getting his 3rd year declines tbh, might be best for literally everyone. This kid needs a structured environment to straighten up that we very clearly don't have here

Is just not possible to have a worse off season than the Hornets, because of course there is a picture.
