Ahh ok I gotcha. I'll check it out.

I love me some Team Fortress 2 on the PC. Is the multiplayer for Killzone really similar or is the only similarity that you can choose different classes.

Wow...what a game...biggest win since Mexico in 2002.

A few things...

-Jozy is lucky he scored, because he was horrid the rest of the game. It was a brilliant shield an turn though. I think you could have left Capdevila back there for 90 mins and he wouldn't get around Jozy.
-I Loved hearing Harkes (was it Harkes?) talk about "real" international squads having fullbacks that are converted mid-fielders because you need the quality on the ball. And then, watch both US goals come on mistakes by their Fullbacks.
- The US's strategy of conceding the flanks completely came up spades. Even though "the flank" was sometimes inside the penalty area. Villa and Torres are two orders of magnitude better players than Demerit and Onyewu overall, but if it's a matter of winning a ball in the air, our guys have a HUGE advantage. Spain sent in a million PERFECT crosses, and had a million PERFECT corner kicks, and it all came to nothing. Spain really needs a Luis Fabiano or someone like that to muscle in goals.
- Onyewu needs to play in the EPL, he has gotten 10000% better on the ball in the last few years, and no silly fouls like in yesteryear.
- Anybody see the Gold Cup roster? Jay Heaps? Logan Pause? really?

yeah, i think gooch would be perfect for epl. but looks like he's off to turkey. he is big enough and strong enough to handle it.

spain played into our hand with outside backs pushing forward like that. only way we were every going to score was on the counter.

that spain us game was a lot like the chelsea barcelona cl games. barca had tons of crosses and looks in the box, but the back 4 of chelsea was everywhere and the entire team was back defensively. trying to beat a stong back 4 in the air is tough. but we were so lucky as well. villa has so many chances that 9 times out of 10 he would put away.

cant wait for gold cup. FINALLY will get to see adu and torres get some much deserved playing time.

thats a good question county....

bob bradley is a moron? adu and torres are both small and not great defensively, although adu says he has impoved big time on defense and i think torres is better than he gets credit for.

adu basically would need to take minutes from donovan or dempsey, unless they put at forward with jozy.

mainly, i think the coach is just really being too conservative and sticking w/ vets too long. there is no reason beasley or sasha should ever see the field again ahead of adu or torres. at worst adu should be the first offensive sub.

Didn't know where else to put this.

Next team to fall completely apart and force a rebuild, even though they are trying. The Pacers. Tyler Hansbrough at 13? Really? I do understand that what the Pacers are attempting to do. I do understand that people don't expect much of guys who did 4 years in college. I also get that there weren't really and surefire picks in this draft.

The Pacers have talent, but they really seem to have any real direction. They are too good to be a bad lottery team and too bad to be a serious playoff team.

Anybody watching the Soccer game today? First International final for the US EVER!!!!!

I'm interested to see who's in midfield with Bradley unavailable. Probably Benny, I'm hoping Sascha isn't under consideration.

List your favorite Michael Jackson songs.

I think mine are:

#1 - Beat It
#2 - Man in the Mirror
#3 - Jam
#4 - Black or White
#5 - In the Closet

I forgot all about Jam, and for some reason it popped into my head today. It's amazing how many great songs the guy made. Just when I think I've remembered them all, one pops into my head that I had forgotten all about. He made a lot of good songs in the 90's, but the 80's stuff seems to overshadow it.

I know that most everyone's all time fav MJ albums are Thriller or Bad, but for me, Dangerous was by far my fav MJ album, so my list will be dominated by that album.

Dangerous was such a work of art with fat guitar riffs and gospel and rock and layers, a little rap and amazing licks with awesome lyrics.

I think it's one of, if not the, most complete albums in the history of music. I frigging LOVE that album!! It has everything.

Will You Be There - Powerful masterpiece of a song. Brilliant. Listening to it is like taking a journey.

Man in The Mirror - Seriously, who in the world can't relate to this song?

Earth Song - Puts his heart and soul into this song and leaves nothing on the table.

The Way You Make Me Feel - One of the most "fun" songs ever.

Black or White - That riff, all the way through, it up there with Radioheads "Creep" IMO.

Keep The Faith - Inspirational.

Jam - MJ and MJ together? Pleassssssssssssssssse!

In The Closet - Sexy song. Sexier music video.

You Are Not Alone - The kiss at the end was awkward, but the song is beautiful.

She's Out Of My Life - If you are about 16 and your GF dumps you because you didn't show her enough attention, don't listen to this song.

Scream - Janet and MJ doing their thang.

Blood On The Dance Floor - Slick song with an awesome back beat.

Whatzupwitu - Ya, that's right. It's an obscure one, but if you get the chance, listen to it. I bet you'll love it.

And this list doesn’t even touch the Jackson 5 stuff, which is also great stuff.

sorry, i gave up on MJ after thriller. i did like alien art farm's cover of smooth criminal though

pop music from 1985 to 1990 was utterly awful which is about the time i discovered 60s/70s music... i only came back to current music when i discovered phish :) in 1992, but then i was only sticking to jam bands, some indie stuff and some fusion jazz.... other than that stay with 60s and 70s and early 80s pop.

my fav mj song though....

billie jean or pyt...

US ran out of gas yesterday. no depth after bradley was gone. once i saw sasha i knew we were in deep trouble. cant sustain that kind of pressure for that long and not give up goals. hats off to howard, gooch, demerit, spector and donovan who were all brilliant this tourny.

i'm sure you non-soccer fans will be glad to catch a us soccer break on this board for a while.

went to see transformers 2 yesterday. my god that was boring. 2 1/2 straight hours of robot fights is overkill. the movie was just so cheesy.

Hmm, my memories of MJ start pretty early, I was 6 when Dangerous came out and in elementary school he was my favorite musician. For some reason I thought that "Heal the World" was the best song ever when I was 7. Then most of the time from middle school on there emerged the typical pattern for the rest of my childhood, alternating between making fun of his ridiculous appearance and the child molestation charges and appreciating how good his 80s music was.

Since I've been an adult, MJ has been out of the news for the most part, and I really only in the past few years appreciated just how huge and incredible his catalog really is.

Anyway, my personal top 5:
Beat It
Dirty Diana
Smooth Criminal
Bad
Billy Jean

This reminds me: About a month ago I saw Gran Torino.

Now, I've never really been a Clint Eastwood fan (although anytime you can pretend to hold up an orangutan and it puts it's arms up in the air, you are ok by me) but my God, what a great movie and a wonderful character by Eastwood.

Solid moive. I would highly suggest seeing it.

I'm sad I won't be able to see or hear MJ live, but I'm not so bummed about his contribution to music. I'll be super depressed when Prince dies, though.

Agreed on Gran Torino. That was awesome. I've always been an Eastwood fan, but never seen him cuss so much in all his other movies put together! He took his character to the max in that movie, and it was brilliantly done.
