Oh wow, a Deng/Iggy hybrid. Boy, that just screams no 2 pick.

Like the way you think.. but I'd say if you are going to go balls out take drummond at 2 then PJIII at 11 --no guts no glory

I fully believe that Cho will manage to get another pick or two in the top 20

I like the way you think even more. 8-)

He won't be BPA for us. Pairing a 6'7 T-Rob with Biz is a train wreck waiting to happen.

T-Rob is 6'10 in shoes according to Draft Express, hes the same height as Al Horford, who plays center for the hawks, whom would have a even smaller front-court then ours. and their front court is the best part of their team and is the reason why they are competitive every year, their positions 1-3 is the reason they are mediocre.

I have to disagree. I think T-Rob and Biyombo would be a great combo.

Small frontcourts do not generally work in the NBA.

Good thing Robinson is 6'10 in sneakers

I think the Kwame Brown comparisons for Drummond are off-base. He has good hands and is a good finisher so he won't be completely useless offensively like Kwame was. A better comparison would be Deadre Jordan or Tyson Chandler or Andew Bynum. Guys who have the talent to be the best player in the league but don't believe in working on their game and never get much better at anything. I'd bet large amounts of money that Drummond will never be as bad as Kwame was in WAS/LA.

The chances of him suddenly becoming super motivated and turning into Hakeem are about as remote as him being a complete bust IMO.

No but he's sort of injury prone and this is kind of a quick fix to me. I'd rather just stay the course with and keep the pick.

When I said "I" there, I was speaking as if I were portland. I mean they'd be better off holding on to aldridge I think.

I don't think Robinson's a legit 6'10 but he's definitely taller than 6'7. I think he's gonna be like Griffin where everybody calls him undersized until the actual measurements where he goes 6'9 and some change

but when I got on the T-Rob bandwagon earlier everybody was calling Robinson an undersized powerforward who only gets by in college because of his ridiculous strength and power

If we make the pick, it has to be Beal. Grab our James Harden. There's a good chance he'll succeed; not so good for some of those other guys.

Barnes is the only other realistic option imo. Robinson/Sullinger with Biz doesn't make a nice pairing and Cho's mentioning of Byron at the Draft Lotto makes me think that Cho really values him going forward. Biz/Mullens is probably our front-court this year. Drummond is a huge risk and just not worth it imo. Just no to Josh Childress 2.0. There are better wings available in the mid-to-late range, even in the early second round. If we want a wing, we can get a better value later in the draft.

I'm sure Cho had plans regardless of our position. If anything, he probably anticipated that we would not be picking first. There's also no guarantee we would have drafted Anthony Davis anyway, nor is there a guarantee New Orleans will take him.

T-Rob isn't projected Top 5 at his position, Beal is, Beal should be the pick here if Cho is as smart as a lot of us give him credit for the other alternative is trading down for Drummond if you insist on a post player.

Most mocks have T Rob going 5th for a reason, he is barely a Top 5 talent.

6'8" is still undersized but it isn't 6'7". 6'9" would be adequate but not great or impressive or advantageous size. 6'10" would be "great size" (assuming the weight and frame scales with it obviously)

Can you guys please tell me what you guys see in T-Rob? He's an undersized PF (6'7-6'9 somewhere), not much of a shotblocker, not that great of a post player on offense, an OK jump shot, turnover prone. The Biyombo/Robinson frontcourt would be really small and it's not like T-Rob is going to come in an grab 10 rebounds a game. I just don't see great potential in him. I see him as a 4th-6th pick in the draft, just not someone I'd consider taking in front of guys like Drummond or MKG.

I'm torn between MKG and Drummond for our pick. MKG is a sure thing IMO, Gerald Wallace 2.0. Crash would easily have been a second or third option on a really good team and I think MKG could be the same. Drummond, on the other hand, is a guy I would really regret passing up, because his ceiling is sky-high and would be an awesome fit next to Biz. I like Beal almost as much as these two, but I just don't know where he'd fit on the roster. I'd be hesitant to roll out [Kemba or DJ/Beal/Hendo/Mully/Biz] as a starting five. Too small. [Kemba or DJ/Hendo/Reggie/Biz/Drummond]

Anthony Davis, Thomas Robinson, and Michael Kidd-GillChrist are the only 3 players in this draft are the players who will put the city on their back like MJ wants. One we can't have, one is redundant, and the other is a perfect fit.
