I know plenty of local Philly players that could've dropped 20 points per game in EuroBasket on a losing team if they didn't have U.S. citizenship that are currently dropping 20 points per game in Russian, Turkish, and Italian leagues. This debate is baseless if you're not familiar with the competition from a parallel view. I respect professional athletes, but they're not far from human. I can assure you that

The NBA is the best basketball league in the world by far.

When people discuss athleticism of players etc, they are talking about by NBA standards.

Doug McDermott is a freak athlete compared to the average person for example.

Forgive me for thinking that you're exaggerating not just your own ability but also random rec league players.

I find this discussion so ridiculous I don't actually want to engage in it.

I'm a pretty good defender and I'm a decent passer who is unselfish, maybe I can be backup PG for us?

I'd be delusional to even think I could, this is no knock on you.

I would try Sixers. Nobody knows if they actually want good players

Judging by Hinkie's judgement he'd probably sign me

Only when you're tanking, not when you're trying to build a contending roster

He doesn't even make a million a year, and can contribute, especially on the defensive end. Who else would you rather sign for less than a million a year?

I don't mind Taylor at all, well the injury scares me a bit, but i would sign Tolliver and CDR back, they seem to shoot treys better.

I'm not saying that Taylor isn't in the top 2% percentile, but what I am saying is that he was a major disappointment. He could barely make a open 3-pointer without it clinking off the 'side' of the rim rather than going in-and-out

For the 2008-09 season, he played for the Adelaide 36ers of the Australian National Basketball League.[4] The Iowa Energy of the NBA D-League signed him to a contract for the 2009-10 season, during which he averaged 12.3 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.[5]

Tyndale played for teams in Germany, Ukraine, and Sweden from 2010 to 2012. The Sioux Falls Skyforce selected Tyndale in the second round of the 2012 NBA Development League Draft with the 18th pick overall. He was traded to the Maine Red Claws on February 25, 2013.[6] Tyndale was named to the All-D-League Defensive Second Team on April 26

He was a member of the all D-League defensive second team though. Awesome..

No sir. I don't have a college team and if I did it would be Louisville. Been following them since my cousin went there a while back, Taquan Dean.

I have a reputation for being antagonizing to Jeff Taylor, so why not...

Looking at the raw numbers Taylor shot 43.1% overall, 34.4% from deep, and 72.8% from the free throw line in 2012-2013. Respectable numbers, but nothing special. To put the 3-point percentage in perspective, the average percentage of all players with over 100 attempts in 2013-2014 was 36.8%. That places him 115 out of 172 players under the same parameters. In 26 games in the 2013-2014 season his numbers were 37.6% overall, 26.9% from 3, and an awful 55.3% from the free throw line. A common story coming into the ’13-’14 season was the confidence Taylor exhibited as compared to the previous season. That confidence manifested itself in an increased usage rate, from 15% to 18.7%. As is often the case, an increased offensive burden hurt his overall efficiency going from a healthy offensive rating of 1.07 points per 100 possessions to an abysmal .86, per basketball-reference.com.

It's one thing to say, "Jeffery Taylor had below average shooting percentages last season." It's quite another to say, "My buddy at the gym could today perform better in the NBA than Jeffery Taylor."

I think we are all aware of Taylor's offensive struggles last season. I think we are also aware that a below average NBA player is lightyears ahead of any non-professional.

Are we going back down that road again? I think you guys like to read & revisit my outlandish beliefs. NBA players are special talents & fortunate individuals that stay dedicated to their craft, but that don't necessarily make all of them superior to semi-pro athletes that didn't make it for whatever reasons

I'm not going to revisit that statement I made about a week ago. How about we stay on topic and discuss Taylor's abysmal shooting numbers?

To be fair, you're the one that referenced your former statements by bringing up your reputation. If you had just mentioned the stats I wouldn't have gone there.

His numbers were bad. No one is disputing that.

You can tell Taylor didn't set on his backside and feel sorry for himself while he was out, he looks Great.

Not to take anything away from him, but he's on an unguaranteed deal with one season left on it that might be his last in the NBA. If he's serious about playing basketball for a living, then it was the only thing he could have done.

I will root for him. I want to see him succeed.

Lord, is Taylor sucking Bonnell off or what? This is getting out of control.

Taylor at 324 might be the only rating I actually agree with so far and of course that's the one Bonnell goes and disagrees with
