We actually made a good pick and promptly traded it for a box of cigars

There has to be somebody else they know they can grab at 40 to make this deal. I find it hard to believe that they'd trade back just to get some extra money.

So, basically we just pick swapped with Atlanta so MJ could parlay it into cash. I cant be mad right now cuz Monk, but this is sooo stupid.

40 and cash. Watch us sell 40 too

Makes sense if we plan on keeping or are contractually locked to Briante and Treveon next season.

So we traded for Dwight and upgraded picks then trade the upgraded pick for the pick 1 spot ahead of the original and cash.

Basically no point in that entire part of the trade, other than cash grab.

Jeff Taylor ruined this franchise. We've traded or sold every 2nd round pick since. And we were bad about trading and selling them before JT as well. We need a full list of all the 2nd round picks we traded or sold in the past 10 years.

Damnit, MJ! You blew it! Who could we target at 40?

I bet we had moved up to 31 to get White or Hart. When they were gone, we traded back for cash, into a range where they could still get someone they had liked. Just my hunch.

Its honestly astonishing that our front office doesnt realize that selling all our 2nd round picks for cash is a terrible strategy...

What a night ruined, we had a perfect night unless we get Evans, Mason, Semi or Morris!

I don't get trading this pick either. Even if we did not expect a second rounder to make the team we could still be looking to improve the swarm.

Man, Semi is free falling! What gives?

What's more likely to happen:

A = We trade #40 for cash
or
B = There is a commercial break right before pick #40 is announced
B B M F 'ers

Return to Charlotte Hornets
