That's a good amount of talent for a starting five. Not sure how well they fit together though. Seems like all those guys are always on losing teams
That's a solid 5, but then you have Lavine wanting "respect" on his next contract. Hope that 5 works out because they might be stuck with it for a while.

When you can't answer the question, thinly veiled insults are always the way to go.
You think we're done and Mitch is out to lunch.
We don't.
Let's move on.
I will seriously, genuinely clarify my stance on this subject: I don't know that we aren't done, but I hope we aren't. However:
Mitch had opportunities to secure us a solid backup PG, someone more qualified than Ish Smith, for a fair price. Some of those guys probably wanted to sign with teams entertaining the playoffs, and chose not to take our offer. But as the list of options continues to dwell, it is wholly reasonable to wonder what exactly the course of action will be for a franchise whose foundation is rooted in either overpaying heavily for little production, or waiting it out and running with the Briante Webers of the world. I'd like to think Mitch will conduct the entire offseason better than anything Cho did, but we're still looking at some major holes.

Re: 2021 Free Agency
I would guess that NBA gms and their front office pros have a slightly better handle on who might be available via trade then posters or even mods on a message board meanwhile -Melts galore but offering no substance. If we have no other players at the point on the roster by October I will agree we we blew it. That’s not gonna happen....

Yes, we definitely have holes, no disagreement there. We also have a non-finished S&T with Graham (one of the major creators of the holes), and we have like $18M in cap space in a market where few other teams do and lots of teams in fact need to clear salaries.
That is a board set for action, not inaction.

My understanding was that we have $14 million, where'd we end up with $18 million?

Wait Chicago owes their
2023 first round pick to Orlando
2024 first round pick to Orlando
2025 first round pick to San Antonio
just after giving up their 2021 pick (8th overall) to Orlando lol that team could be driving right into the disaster zone

How do we know Mitch didn't offer every single PG on the market a contract and they just said "no thanks"?
How do we know Mitch tried to bring Devonte back and he (Tae) just didn't want to be here anymore knowing he'll never start?
How do we know they aren't still trying to make things happen, especially since the FA period hasn't even been open for 24hrs yet?
I feel like we're starting the moaning party a little early, no? or am I crazy?

I think yose mentioned this yesterday, or maybe it was you, but I firmly believe Graham wanted to start somewhere, and I honestly don't blame him.

I kind of said that in the message you quoted, but if every PG we offered told us "No," do you think they're in the wrong and we're in the right? What would that say about those specific offers?
How do we know Mitch tried to bring Devonte back and he (Tae) just didn't want to be here anymore knowing he'll never start?
It's possible, but how do we know Devonte didn't want to stay close to home and be part of a locker room he thoroughly enjoyed?
How do we know they aren't still trying to make things happen, especially since the FA period hasn't even been open for 24hrs yet?
See first sentence.

I don't like what I see when I look at the list of available free-agent PGS, and then consider the possibility of overpaying one of those trash bags or giving up too many assets in a trade to offset the lack of success/inactivity beforehand. Can't answer whether or not you're crazy.

Kinda feels like Coby White is the odd man out for them as well. Any thoughts on bringing him here? Feel like he'd be a very good scoring PG off the bench.

He'd be great. Not sure how we'd swing that though.

That's kind of my point. We have zero inside information, so why are we drawing conclusions based on nothing? Doesn't seem very logical to me.

Isn't that, like, the point of a message board? To discuss things?

These can't be combined though, not saying you think that they could. Just don't want anyone to get confused.

Victor Oladipo is still available.
We have cap space...so would he take 13m for 1 year?
Who else has cap space? OKC, San Antonio?

Spurs have like 6 Million post sign and trade.
OKC has 28 million.
Hawks pretty much guaranteed to get Collins now.
