Thankfully he didn't try to make a move for the gun on his lap. Probably would've ended up dead.

I'm for cutting this guy.

The seriousness of the offense weighed with the caliber of player he is, it isn't worth keeping him around. If LAL (as we always joke about) wants to turn him into some sort of reclamation project, let them. Even if he turns out to be a somewhat decent player -- and that's a pretty big if, based on how he has performed so far -- I still wouldn't regret it. He just doesn't seem like a likeable guy. My red flags went up when he challenged Borrego like he did and nothing he's done since then has shown me that he's worth the trouble. And now this...

MasterIchiro dealt another blow.

What a disaster of a draft. Neither even have value anymore.

Kupchak and front office needs to be gone yesterday. Tank the hell out of the season, let LaMelo put up gawdy stats, try to get some picks or young guys for our vets, and restart next year

Dude is about to have some legitimate legal concerns.

The totality of his offenses in such a short timespan doesn't spell well for giving him the benefit of the doubt based on money and celebrity.

Wondering where this'll go.

If judging by Miles' case is any indication, we won't know for another 2/3 years

Have the Hornets made any statement whatsoever addressing what appears to be a completely broken culture?

All I've seen is 'wait and see' statements, but I think fans are well past deserving an organizational stance on what's now a pattern of behavior across multiple players.

i have this vision of mj walking into practice yesterday and just going absolutely nuclear on the team.

what are chances we see suspension coming down on bouk once this plays out in court?

Where's that GSW video leaker? He needs to be hired by our FO. I would kill to see the meltdowns.

No and they probably won't. Our beat writer hasn't even hardly covered the Bridges case, and will probably barely ask questions a week from now regarding Bouk. National media doesn't even know we exist. They could probably just keep saying what they're saying and it'll blow over

I hope that’s exactly what happened, or at the very least privately with Bouk. Dude needs a serious awakening.

Regarding suspension, what’s the typical punishment for a dwi in past situations? Anyone know?

I just read he’s active for tonight, though that doesn’t mean he’s not being quietly punished and held to the bench for a few games or however long.

And to add to this, let’s say he is active and a part of the 10 man rotation for tonight…the guy hasn’t even been able to play well with a clear head, so one can only assume he would be a complete disaster with all of this stress hanging over his head. What a disaster this is, and I’m one of his biggest fans. Such a dope, utterly disappointing.

i'm assuming its like the miles situation and the league has to wait for legal process to play out before any disciplinary action can take place.

Elite lawyers that specialize in DUIs are very canny in getting cases dropped. Wish them luck with this one considering he hit 2 cop cars though

I always get excited on draft night when someone who is projected to go higher starts falling down into our range and I start thinking that we're going to have a steal fall right into our laps...

...but I'm now starting to realize that there's probably a reason they are falling in the first place and we're apparently the only suckers that were unaware.

This will be an easy decline for the third year or trade before the deadline unless he turns things around incredibly quickly in practices and games. Though he doesn't deserve to play for at least the first quarter of the season (assuming he starts to bust his ass for the team in practice and in the gym).

He's almost certainly out of here by next offseason at the latest though. The team should make an example of this idiot to the rest of the roster.

Mitch at this point is getting an F- for the 2021 draft. What a disaster.

So, despite his latest escapade, they play Bouk and he delivers…zeros. Maybe it was a result of Cody getting hurt early, but other guards were tapped to play and apparently performed better than our lottery pick. Dittos on the 2021 draft grade migrating from a peach to a shriveled pumpkin.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I actually liked some of what I saw from Bouk yesterday, miserable shooting aside. I noticed he was a LOT quicker to run over and help teammates up off the floor and the dour look he usually has on his face was less noticeable. Maybe the legal troubles were a wake up call? I'll be watching to see if these changes carry forward.

I disagree that he should be benched, although I get it. I'm fine with Cliff showcasing him, seeing what happens, and then maybe recouping something for him a few months down the road. I'm way more intrigued by Maledon than Bouk but benching him right away probably means we get nothing for that lotto pick. If we play him 20 games and then get a 2nd rounder out of the deal that's chicken salad as far as I'm concerned.

I just said something similar myself on here somewhere. It’s a recurring theme. Vonleh, Monk, Bouknight all come to mind. I also suspect they were hell bent on Kai and would’ve just taken him there if they couldn’t make a trade, and things changed once Bouk fell. I was also stupidly excited and happy that mock draft guys fell to us. Now we see exactly why they fell every time.
