I'm appalled that Cho even has the gall to tank this bad in attempt to reenact the magic that he helped create in OKC.

Re: Dunlap Experiment coming to close?
i agree that haywood should be put back in the starting lineup. i love biz, but he isnt ready. he is still, at least, 2 years away from deserving meaningful minutes on a real team.
that being said, until we get some two-way bigs, we are going to be awful. nothing dunlap can do about that. its compounded by mully and tyrus being out.

Re: Dunlap Experiment coming to close?
I guess you guys are all fine with us losing 30 games in a row. Wow how can you even call yourself fans and sit through this $h!t. Dunlap can't coach. He can say all the right things in front of the camera and be strict on players in practice, but when its game time our defense sucks and our offense isnt producing good looks.
I think Biz has been playing pretty good lately and deserves to get minutes.
If we don't win at least 15 games this season We SHOULD lose the team because thats pitiful.
I am officially on the Fire Dunlap wagon unless he can win at least 3 of our next 10 games he should be gone.

Play the young bloods, and tank tank tank tank tank.
Besides, this roster is still horrible. Were still 2 years away from even thinking playoffs. Patience.

Either Dunlap is a awful coach or we are trying to tank.

Re: Dunlap Experiment coming to close?
Whenever I see a situation like Haywood I always think that there must be more to this.
He was behind Diop in the rotation, there must have been a reason why. Whether its shopping players or tanking I don't know. We can't trade Haywood, but we can trade everyone else.

Re: Dunlap Experiment coming to close?
After such a great start how have the Bobcats come to this?
http://espn.go.com/nba/standings
Charlotte has the worse point differential and they give up by far the most points.
http://www.basketball-reference.com/tea ... 13/splits/
In 7 wins, Charlotte has an average score of 97.1 with just 92.9 points on average for their opponent.
In 22 losses, that score changes to 95.1 to 108.5. It's like night and day such a dramatic difference.
Dunlap's coaching history, his statements emphasizing defense, the Bobcats starting off winning with defense were apparent in each of the 7 wins. What changed?
http://www.basketball-reference.com/pla ... lits/2013/
In 7 wins, Haywood started each game and played on average 31 minutes. In 20 losses, Haywood started 10 but only played on average 18 minutes. In December, around the time Haywood's minutes sharply decreased, that's when the Bobcats started to lose big. Haywood starting and getting over 30 minutes reminds me of the bible story of Moses raising his arms. (Exodus 17:11) It is the difference between winning and losing for the Bobcats.

Perhaps Mike Dunlap is tanking? If he wants to win someone needs to tell him I, CCJ, recommend lineup #12.
Walker, Taylor, Kidd-Gilchrist, Biyombo, Haywood
That lineup is absolutely sick defensively and it plays young guys with a defensive anchor. Haywood slows the offense but the shots blocked, rebounds, and solid defense on the interior and the speed and athleticism on the wings would turn up wins quickly, if that's what MJ, Cho,and Dunlap are seeking.

Re: Dunlap Experiment coming to close?
Dunlap preach defense, but he doesn't practice it, therefore he doesn't practice what he preach. This Bobcats defense is anemic. Coming into the season, I knew they would struggle offensively, but I never thought the defense would be this lackluster.

you guys blame a lot on a coach, forgetting just how bad this same team was last year. we have the some of the youngest and least experienced players in the league starting for us, what do you really expect?

Re: Dunlap Experiment coming to close?
This is exactly what happened. The Bobcats started off hot and were looking like a seventh or eight seed. Micheal Jordan called Cho. What the crap are you guys trying to pull? You know good and well I don't have my franchise player to center my merchandising, and build my team around! Did you forget why I tanked to begin with? Take Haywood out the line up, play him sparingly, and get back down in the celler until I get my star!

I don't think MJ made that call. I think Cho called his own number, and put Dunlap on 3-way. This type of losing is the very reason why MJ had to distance himself from basketball operations a bit, because he hates to lose and he knew it would've been difficult for him to tank without having a knee-jerk reaction. I don't think they anticipated having a 17-game losing streak ahead of them when they decided to go into full-tank mode so early in the season. Now the morale of the team is at stake in hopes not to duplicate losing at the same if not worst than last year's rate

I think we'll win a game soon, probably the next under .500 team we see at home. We expected to win ~25% of our games and that's about what I expect to happen by the end of the season.

yeah new orleans could have been a win. without eric gordon out there I wouldn't be surprised for us to win.

Re: Dunlap Experiment coming to close?
I might be venting or overreacting, but if Dunlap can't be fired right now in which I don't think he should be because this season was supposed to be a wash anyway in hopes of developing players, then his assistants coaches should.

Dunlap has been coaching probably longer than I've been alive. He's no spring chicken rookie coach either
