I know I'm in the minority on this, but if we trade back to between #4 and #6, I think MKG is the selection. But I prefer T-Rob if he is still on the Board.

To me, picking TRob is a little bit of 2 for 1 pick because he will benefit Biz the most.

I agree. Look, Biz is a worse offensive player than Ibaka, and may never develop the game needed to be a PF. I think he will remain an undersized 5 with the length needed to be a shot blocker, tough defenderand garbage bucket guy. He really needs to put on weight and muscle so he can hold and establish position. Robinson will rebound and complement with offensive production. I do believe he will improve his post game by learning to use his body and strength to offset bigger players (much as LJ and Barkley did).
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Say Washington has TRob ahead of MKG on their big board and we trade down with MKG being our target. Well, if we stay at two and select MKG then would you be mad then as well because we could had traded down to get MKG?

And your honestly proposing that Barnes is worthy of the number 2 pick but Trob isn't?

The Wizards have Nene, Booker, Seraphin, and Vesely and I think Blatche is still there at the PF position, they dont need to draft Robinson who is smaller and not as skilled offensively as any of these players. They just brought in Ariza so if anything they may want to grab Beal or one of the SF's and move Ariza to the SG position or the bench depending on how the rooks play. Robinson could potentially drop down to the 6th or 8th position as we seem to be the only team in the top 5 who are considering him.

TRob will be the next Aldridge for you guys. No brainer pick.

Its just too bad you didn't get the #1 pick. Davis is a monster. The next Duncan.

Being the next LMA would require the ability to make open jump shots.

If we dont take Robinson he will fall at least to #8. Tricky is just guessing and this Lee dude from Washington has no idea what he is parading around talking about. Cho has not shown his hand. Just seems like a wasted pick to take T Rob if we stay at 2 especially and no other team wants him.

Honestly, I see lots of other teams' fans coming here saying we should pick Robinson. I think it is just a fact that THEY want us to pick Robinson, so that their guy is available. Sacramento doesn't need or want Robinson, but they sure would love MKG. The teams immediately after us (Washington, Cleveland, Sacramento, even Portland) don't really need Robinson. I don't give a flying somethingorother what other teams would like for us to do. For me right now, it's MKG or Beal.
Who I woulda took:
2023: Miller | 2022: Duren | 2021: Bouknight, Jones | 2020: Ball | 2019: PJ | 2018: MPJ | 2017: Monk | 2016: Damian Jones | 2015: Winslow | 2014: Vonleh, Napier | 2013: McLemore | 2012: MKG | 2011: Knight, Kawhi

--They said Tuesday’s trade that sent small forward Corey Maggette to the Detroit Pistons and acquired combo guard Ben Gordon was irrelevant to how they would use their first-round pick. I take that to mean having Gordon doesn’t eliminate Florida shooting guard Bradley Beal as an option at No. 2. And likewise, losing Maggette doesn’t obligate them to draft a small forward like North Carolina’s Harrison Barnes or Kentucky’s Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.

Higgins said it would be “shortsighted’’ to let the current roster dictate how to use such a high pick. He said there are other avenues, such as trades or free-agency, that could be used to fill the hole at small forward.

Smokescreen to keep the bids going for Beal?

Smart move would be to just draft Beal and then watch other teams panic then select highest bid.

Or just draft Beal and trade to find our SF. I cannot say if Beal is a better pick than Robinson. He is bringing tons of interest from some very good teams. Cats were very quiet about the guy..and have done nothing to play up interest to date. But, they have had moments of gently gauging interest in each of the prime candidates...in terms of trade value and possibly team evaluations.

I still think Robinson will cure a number of things that hurt us. But I'd frankly prefer picking Beal over Barnes or MKG at 2 (if not Thor). Beal has major upside potential.

Know who Beal sort of reminds me of?

A slightly smaller Brandon Roy.

He has that smoothness and all roundness about his game.

I can see that, hopefully he can stay healthier than Roy.

Nice comparison. I was thinking a Brandon Roy/Eric Gordon cross. I just don't really see Beal becoming THAT good. I'm not sure if I see him as a consistent 20ppg scorer.

He's actually reminded me of Roy since I first saw him play. At first I thought he was a poor man's version, but as the season wore on I began to think that his ceiling may be higher. Prior to the lottery, he was my #2 guy after Davis. Since losing the lottery, he's been my pick, but it's just now becoming more appealing to me to take him instead of trading the pick.

Houston got the 18th pick for Budinger. If we were to draft Beal what do some of you think we could if we tried to flip Henderson? Perhaps top 12?

I'd like Harkless to fill some of that void at SF if we were to get Beal

I'd think so and around where we'd be picking is where the real value is in this draft imo.
