Detroits not interested in Cousins per their beatwriters & David Aldridge and they arent parting with Monroe.

They'd more likely want to pair cousins with monroe if they wanted cousins. Same as we'd like to pair him with bismack. No one should take cousins without a plan, anyway, or he'll just cause more problems. You have to have a frontcourt mate for him.

Cousins and Monroe would be such a bad pairing. The defense alone would be gag worthy

This. Detroit set with Monroe/Drummond, they simply dont have the incentive to gamble on Cousins since they already have 2 superior prospects. Word out of Detroit is that the interest just is not there unless he came very cheap so any ideas posted here that have Char acquiring Monroe in a 3 team deal with Cousins going to Detroit arent realistic.

Love Cousins, but your completely right. I would even go out and say you need an established star and leader if you take on Cousins as well. Someone, that if things aren't going right, he can look to and follow. Right now, when things are going bad he has no one to look to only to himself.

that's why I think Boston with Kevin Garnett holds Cousin's best chance to become a star quality player.

there are some delusional fans on the SAC board.

MKG is a reasonable centerpiece for Cousins?
MKG + 2 picks for Cousins and filler?

I remember during the summer several people on here thought we should have offered Beasley what the Suns did. I explained why it was a good move not to -- he's an inefficient volume scorer, bad defender, bad rebounder, and a tweener. Williams isn't exactly the same, but he fits the profile.
Humble yourself.

well Beasley also had a bad attitude, which contributed to his lack of development and his volume shooting.

If we can't get DeMarcus Cousins which is starting to seem like a long shot then I think Derrick Williams would be a excellent gamble. Even if he doesn't work out he'll still give us yet another young asset with value that we can trade down the road if need be. If Williams can be had for Hendo straight up then I wouldn't hesitate and if they wanted the Portland pick then that's a calculated risk that I think Cho should take. Let's not forget that Williams was a top 3 talent less than 2 years ago that we all would've love to have on the Bobcats if we were within his range. Nothing about what has happened between the Wolves and Williams would make me consider him as a bust. He's just not getting minutes.

Exactly. He's been playing out of position even when he gets playing time, because he's got a top 3 PF soaking up minutes at his natural position. If the Portland pick and an expiring was all it took, then it would be a done deal right now.

You are assuming that Cho wants Williams. I have never read anything about the Bobcats even inquiring about Derrick. I have told you before. There is a player with DWill potenial in almost every draft. In this draft Anthony Bennett and Alex Poythress are looking like the next college superstar swing fowards with unlimited pro potential. Clowns are already comparing Bennett to Karl Malone.

I read an interesting old tweet this weekend. It seems that around the time of last year's draft Cousins made a tweet that read something close to, " Kemba is my dawg! Jimmer who?" Maybe we should make a small run at the nba's best young center if he and Kemba are good friends.

This might be part of the reason why Cousins is on the outs in Sactown. He and Jimmer might have friction that spread to the coaches who tried to intervene.

I seriously doubt that's the reason or even a element of the dysfunction that the Kings are having with Cousins. It's nice to know that Cousins favors our very own Kemba but I'm sure that tweet was just about March Madness or NCAA POY.

yeah but it was around draft time, not around the tournament time. if it was after the draft, I'd say it reflects poorly on cousin's view of the management staff

WTF are you talking about. It was tweeted on March 10th of 2011, around tournament time, about 3 months before draft time. You have to start during your research before posting sometimes because you quote people too often without knowing what you're talking about.
