Iman Shumpert vs #24

Would you do it ?

I read somewhere the Knicks want to trade him against a first round pick.

Apparently their expectations are a late first round pick. Which is exactly what we got to offer.

I believe also that's a good opportunity for us. I don't think we need another 3 rookies this year, our core is young and inexperienced enough.
Iman got some good experience already and could talk about MSG to Kemba all the time.

Yeah I mean he can hit the three and plays good defense. He shot 40% from three last season, if he can get back to that he'll be an really good player in Cliff's system

No. I'm not interested, not at all. There will be more serviceable players available at #24 in this draft class than Shumpert has been, and I firmly believe that

No I wouldn't do Shumpert for 24. I would do him for 45 tho. Only thing he has going for him is that he is a undeserving starter. I might not even do him for 45 since this draft is so deep. I would rather Shumpert for a future second rounder.

Josh Smith for Bismack Biyombo and Gerald Henderson?

What do you guys think about this?

Nope. Switch Neal for Biz and now we're talking.

I'm not taking Smith unless we get an asset in return. Giving an asset of our own would be really unwise.

Josh Smith doesn't have a lot of value on this board... And a lot of us do like Biyombo a lot.

I wouldn't want Josh Smith on the team anyway actually.

Not touching Smith's contract with a 10 foot pole, this is the first time in awhile the Hornets/Bobcats haven't had any bad contracts and I'd prefer to keep it that way.

Not getting Biz and we would need sweetner to take on such a terrible contract.

Send over another first with poor protection and I would think about it.

Agreed, it was more of a show of my disdain for Josh Smith.

Completely extreme and unreal trade idea just for the sake of it:

Let's say the Heat FO were unsentimental bastards and looked to get Wade off their hands before they are the ones that have to sign him to a new deal. Let's say they wanted to get some young and athletic bigs to fill the obvious holes they have in these positions and move on to a new type of Miami team where LeBron and Bosh have some bigs that can cover their backs while they move on to a more conventional defense.

Would you do this deal if Wade agreed to opt in for both of his two remaining years acknowledging that no one will give him that type of money any more and he wants to cash in? We would have a one or two year window of going all in with Wade and Al before moving on to the new era of Kemba, MKG and #9 pick to be selected.

Zeller + Biyombo + Henderson + Haywood + Option to Swap Picks in 2015 = Wade

(I know, I know.. you'll guys want their 25th pick in this year's draft. I honestly thought about us giving up the Blazers pick in this deal since at the end of the day, no matter how hobbled he is, it still would be Dwyane Wade for an unproven rookie, guy who can't catch the ball and the most hated player on our team)

What makes this one interesting is the amount of hate must of us here have for Wade and the amount to which some disregard Zeller's and Biyombo's potential. My job here will be done if anyone would actually say that this would be an offer they would hardly consider if they were in the FO.

#LamarBoredAtWork I'm at the start of a nasty week where I'll have to work a lot. I'm ready to be lazy and spend as much time at RealGM at work as possible.

Seeing as Wade is co-captain of my all a-hole team, is getting paid far too much, and is a shell of his former self, I'd hit this with a big veto if I were the king of the FO.

Having to watch him flop, whine, and blame his way through a couple of seasons in teal would absolutely kill me.

Wade doesn't start for most NBA teams anymore.
