I'm glad Lin appears to be happy with his teammates and I'm glad he and his fans are around, but my comment was actually sincere - is Lin looking happy a departure from how he normally looked or something? Just seems odd to me.
Off the court everything was okay, I guess. Except there were a few things with the Laker organisation. For instance like Kobe calling teammates soft like charmin, and also texting Lin at 1AM with: I hope you’re absolutely pissed off at the way the season’s going. Nice teammate right? And Kobe pretty much own the Laker team, so you know how it goes.
*edit: And I almost forgot how Kobe yelled at him on the court for following the coaches directions.
There were more problems on the court. Due to bad coaching, you could see that Lin was underutilized. Lakers was obviously tanking the season, so when Lin was playing well, he would get benched, which was frustrating to see for the fans. There were inconsistent playingtimes, weird substitutions, weird atmosphere, etc. And losing a lot of games and getting lots of hate on social media didn't really help.
The situation just really sucked. So seeing that the Hornets are actually winning, makes for a better situation overall. Wins = happy times, losses = everyone going ape****. At least that's what I have perceived.
*edit: Here is a link from ESPN about what pretty much happened after Linsanity.
