This makes no sense for the Thunder so I'm going to categorize this as BS for now. Although the Thunder may be pissed at us for not trading Bouknight to them, so maybe there's some sour grapes at work.

The Thunder really want the 2018 Hornets backcourt (Kemba and Graham) with the draft pick we could have kept (Shai)? I guess the want to see how it would have played out for us?

The only player they have to trade that makes any money is Kemba. Ngl, that would actually be kinda awesome.

Patty Mills is a better player than Devonte anyway. Hopefully we sign him instead if Devonte is getting offers north of $8-$10 million

I knew Devonte was going to get more than the MLE because teams like Lakers and Clips would love to have him. Figured his value would be in the 13-15 million range for the most part. If we do in fact trade Devonte it signals to me that we must have our eyes on resigning Terry after this season and want to keep those backcourt dollars open for his next deal.

I'll take it. But I'd rather have tried to sneak into that Chicago trade. The NOP draft pick is probably going to be in the early teens. Canceled out our Kai pick swap trade, which is nice.

12m per year isn't all that bad either. I guess his value was overstated by the "experts".

Also wonder what he signed for.

Either way, getting a 1st round pick back is a great return IMO - especially if he's getting paid $15-$20mil per year (gross).
