Also, Oladipo is probably out until November.

If he'd sign here, I'd do it regardless.

He is like a rich-mans Terry. Probably our 2nd best player if he comes back like he was pre-injury, assuming Ball is our best.

Low risk, high reward.

This is getting insane for the Lakers. It's like a pickup game where they just get to pick the players before anyone else...

Fully expect the Lakers to sign Oubre and Markkanen too at this point

How funny would it be if he took all Monk’s PT?

I mean it's not looking great for Monk's PT currently...they just resigned THT to 3/32...wild.

Rubio dropped 38 on team USA last night. Cavs don't need his ass.

I'm definitely on board with a Rubio pickup.

Maybe we should be talking to Oubre, he probably wants to play for a team without cap space so we could sign and trade him.

At this point don’t sign anyone for more than a min deal. We can find some guys in the d league to shore up the guard spot.

Dsj, Ntilikita, Jeff Teague, elfrid Payton, all perfectly capable backup PGs who can be had for peanuts....I like Ntilikita best

I'm of the same mind.Throw $14m/1yr at Markannen or Oladipo and then just get a cheap backup PG for the minimum or a chunk of the MLE. If Lauri/Dipo don't bite just save the space and try to use it to extract a pick at the deadline for helping some cap-strapped team make their preferred move.

Realistically at this point for 'backup PG' our best option is just to stagger Terry and Melo so at least one of them is on the floor 90% of the game. We're not even that bad off without a great 2nd stringer if that is the plan, barring injury.
