They lost to the Sixers in the conference semis in seven games in '01. Carter attended his graduation the same day the game occurred, arrived late and played poorly.

On the other hand, the East was pathetic in the early 2000's, so I suppose you can't really call it a good team.

old news, but in case anyone had not heard, one of the ladycats, brittany is on american idol this season. she was on the audition show on wednesday and made it to hollywood. she is the blonde who is on the cover of the calendar.

Does the average (non-internet using) NBA fan not know about tanking? I had a strange exchange with a group of guys that I play pick-up with.

Some guy: Trading away Crash and Jax has been a disaster, the team is terrible.
Me: Well that was the plan, trade them away, be terrible and get a high draft pick and cap space.
Some guy: Really? I don't think so....

(Everyone looking at me like I suggested some oddball conspiracy theory)

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

yeah really, then again most people havent even heard of the Bobcats, or hadnt until Kemba was drafted here.

(The Bobcats marketing squad all need to be fired.... Cause more people know the names of Charlotte Hornets players then Bobcats players....)

I can easily believe that. I sometimes read BCP and it is not much different*. I don't want to imagine what Rufus on fire is like.

What I can't imagine is (non-internet using) NBA fan, how that works? I mean aside from rally well aged folks who doesn't use internet at least once in a while.

(*that doesn't mean there are no good posters but most of them post or used post here too anyway)
