Kinda surprised so many Bobcats fans going with T-Rob here. Not saying he shouldn't be the #2 pick, just thought it would be a closer race.

I think if he measure in at 6'8" or more without shoes, makes a lot of sense. If it's 6'7" or shorter tho, not a Bobcats type pick, really.

I think I prefer Beal because I think serviceable big men will be more readily available in drafts the next few years. Beal is a scorer that this team badly needs also. And small ball is a viable option to win in the NBA, if you have defensive minded big guys.

Take Beal, stink again, take big man in 2013, be bad again, take best player available in 2014??

I think Robinson would work also but ultimately still have us wanting another BIG guy for the rotation, and we'd still be a guard and wing scorer away from competing as well.

MKG - fine, but have to really hope we add a big scorer in next year's draft, and I think those are harder to find

I'd be open to trading with Portland as well, but no idea if they would be.

edit: I can't really help but think this Shabazz Muhammad kid could be the perfect Bobcats fit in next year's draft at SF/SG. Couldn't go wrong this year if it worked out like that. Would fit with Beal or Robinson, maybe even MKG.

Workouts will be pivotal but I'm optimistic the other AD will outshine Rob.

Quick BPA list IMO:
1. Andre Drummond - Best athlete in the draft, most NBA ready body, freakish speed, shotblocker with soft hands and fluid feet.

2. Thomas Robinson - Good athlete, hard-worker, rebounds and developing face-up game may complement Biz.

3. Bradley Beal - Rebounds well for his size, young, promising looking shot.

4. Royce White - NBA ready PF, excellent court vision and passing.

5. Perry Jones - Long match-up nightmare at either F spot.

6. Harry Barnes - Good shooter, NBA SF size.

7. Meyers Leonard - A rare post up big with legit C size, runs like a gazelle, shows capacity to learn.

8. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist - versatile defender, gamer.

9. Jeremy Lamb - SG with size and range, length could offset Kemba's lack of.

10. Terrence Ross - best size for SG, plays the game at an Allan Houston kind of pace.

Shabazz is way undersized for an nba sf. He is only like 6'4"

NBAdraft.net says 6-6 222 - and he looks it from youtube as a HS senior. Like a James Harden at SF. Exact thing the Cats need, assuming he lives up to his rep in school. But that's next year, I'm sure it won't work out like that

I think Beal is an even shorter Eric Gorden. 6-3 SG's just do not dominate on this level. The next one to do so not named Allen Iverson (Who played a lot of point) will be the first. T- Rob to me has 20 &10 future written all over him. I'm telling you guys it is rare to find a big man with his post footwork. If we get a real coach who makes him play from the post and from the free throw line and in, then I think he could be Karl Malone.

What would be pretty ideal is Shabazz (SG) next year and Andrew Wiggins/Jabari Parker (both SFs) the year after, all who have superstar potential.

Drummond will look awful in a workout where he's on an empty court trying to score

I think its the opposite. He looks like a freak superstar playing against 6 footers in high school. Wouldn't surprise me if he shined until we paired him vs another big man

if he had even shown GLIMPSES of this kind of play in college we'd probably be torn between him and Davis right now

Screw Beal, Drummond and MKG

We need to take T-Rob with the #2 then DO WHATEVER we possibly can to get the #11 to get PJ3, he seriously has Durant Potential

Kemba
Hendo
PJ3
T-Rob
Biz

Anthony Davis who..?

An individual workout isn't gonna be a trainer throwing up lobs for Drummond to catch, it's gonna be a way to show case his entire arsenal of moves. He's gonna have to show that soft touch, that mid range game, free throw stroke and post moves. And Drummond is what we like to call around here, awful at all of those things

Stun's positivity is starting grow on me.

With all the doom and gloom we've had, his positive reinforcement has been great.

Gracias, after every dark night there is a bright day, our day will come soon enough.

Another positive note, at least we know now, star players WANT to play for Jordan, now we just need to make our roster more appealing

FWIW Draftexpress say that T Rob measured out to 6'10 in shoes at the Lebron James Skills Academy last summer.

So, Davis and his family wanted Charlotte? Oh, the humanity!

Bonnell suggests he pull an Eli Manning :)

Entirely onboard with T-rob at 2 and doing whatever we can (moving DJA) to grab another pick around the 10, 11 spot. I would be pretty damn pleased. Not as pleased as Davis and a 10, 11, but hey if T-Rob is a legit 6'10" in shoes with a 7'1" wingspan, I have no reservations about making him my unequivocal new man crush (How could I have loved unibrow? how?)
