We need to solve the 4 and 5 problems immediately. We ain't signing Noone so we might aswell go all out and use the extra picks and just keep our own. Even if we drafted 4 or 5 and took Edgecombe or jak. I'd still wanna trade for Asa Newell. We need a deep-impact draft to shift forward and bring hope.

Probably a stretch pf to start off, but if that handle improves just move him to SF because he would be basically KD if he improves the handle.

Right now he's a mix of young Rashard Lewis and KD.

Best scorer in the draft you can't pass that up especially if Flagg or Harper are off the board. This Jaku ahead of Bailey talk has to stop. Jaku even with a all-around game can't touch the potential of a Bailey.

Don't overthink this it's the top 3 and everyone else.
I'm not. It's clearly flagg Harper Bailey. 4 and 5 are Edgecombe and Jaku. To me it's obviously that at this point.

Agreed.

I'm excited for this draft because we don't necessarily need the #1 pick to get a real core piece. I'm confident the big 3 will all be all-stars at the next level.

Jaku/Edgecombe are more plug and play guys but still good pieces to add to this team imo

Speaking of Jaku he's about to play on FS1 vs Nebraska.

I'm a fan, but he seems more like a plug n play guy with a low ceiling. He won't be a bust, but he will be a high end role player imo.

So now Brandon Miller is trash?

How quickly the narrative changes...

If my mother had wheels, she would be a bike...

Is Miller a prospect? Did I mention Miller? Is the Miller in the room with us?

That's literally who Miller was coming out of college.

He's arguably the best scorer in the entire draft and this is without a handle. How is that even bad news. If anything it shows you his potential to get better if he improves those handles.

This guy is scoring 30+ in multiple games in college. That's not normal and the fact he's doing it with a sloppy handle is quite scary imo.

*I apologize tho for miss quoting you. :D

What's the deal with Fears, why are so many people this high on him? Skinny combo guard, great handles though.

I'm really not that big of a fan and don't think hes a good fit for this roster, but he'll still be 18 on draft day, hes currently averaging 16 ppg on 58% true shooting in the SEC, and he has pretty awesome athleticism. Seems like of all the productive freshman combo guards hes the one with high potential. I didn't really want to put him that high since it was a Hornets based mock, but I tried to stick to BPA.

Bailey hasn't been the best scorer in the draft at this point. So far that has been Flagg.

Flagg = 26.4 pts/70 ~ 59.3% true shooting
Bailey = 24.6 pts/70 ~ 56.3% true shooting
Johnson = 24.1 pts/70 ~ 56.9% true shooting
Harper = 23.8 pts/70 ~ 58.2% true shooting
Fears = 22.5 pts/70 ~ 57.5% true shooting

You're ignoring Bailey has a PG who also is a great scorer.

If he was the #1 option like Flagg he would probably be leading the Nation in scoring. Flagg is great but he's not a better scorer than Bailey.

You can watch the game and just see scoring comes more natural with Bailey.

He’s not what we need, he can’t really shoot or defend.

I am higher on Fears then consensus, dude is lightning quick, elite foul drawer and one of the youngest players in the draft. Inconsistent but if you are swinging for talent I don't hate it.

My board probably looks like this right now:
1. Flagg

2. Bailey
3. Harper

4. Edgecomb
5. Jaku
6. Fears

7. Newell
8. Sorber
9. Trey Johnson
10. Queen
11. Traore
12. Gonzalez
13. Egor

Not in the top 15
Murray Boyles
Malauch
Kneuple

They need high end talent more than anything. Hes not really the guy I want either, but if he really has high potential I would still rather them take him at a certain point rather than reach for worse player that fit better. He seems like he could be a rich mans Tre Mann, but if the best player available is a rich version of Mann then I'll take it and trade Tre Mann.

i know nothing about the guy but are you really a "high end talent" if you're a PG that can't shoot or defend?

Bailey not doing much on offense so far, but I like his defensive potential. He covers ground fast with that size. Seems like he enjoys playing that side of the ball. He's a 2 way player imo.

I think Fears is also slightly younger than Ace Bailey. After todays game he is averaging 22.8 pts ~ 5.6 reb ~ 6.0 ast ~ 2.6 stl per 70 possessions on 58.4% true shooting with a high free throw rate. That compares well to Dylan Harper, who is at 23.8 pts ~ 6.2 reb ~ 5.2 ast ~ 1.3 stl per 70 on 58.2% true shooting. I also think his shooting form looks pretty good and hes shooting 83.5% from the ft line, so he could have shooting potential.

Edgecombe was having another really good game today, but then sprained his ankle in the 2nd half. He could be out for a bit.

I don’t know if Hubert will make it to next season.
