Any comment on his 33 point outing against ISU?

I just sat in the first row to take a look at him as well but it appears there is a massive dude sitting in front of me at the moment so I can't see the court....

Let me reiterate, Nerlens Noel had 15 points (4-6 shooting), 11 rebounds, 6 assist, 7 blocks, 4 steals, and no turnovers with only 1 foul today :o

...but they loss. I would hate to be the team that draft one of Archie Goodwin, Alex Poythress, or Willie Cauley-Stein in the lottery. None of those guys are even worth it...OVERRATED.

Bill Self stated that McLemore is the most talented player hes ever coached, but I like Bennett.

I just don't like how people don't say anything about a guy unless it's negative. Just like all of the "Bismack Haters" disappear when he has a double double but then they're all post happy when he has a bad game. He had a bad game today, definitely, but I prefer people be consistent.

I wouldn't call it a man crush, he's my favorite wing this year just like Lamb (and Beal to a lesser extent) were last year. It's not like back when I was all about James Harden and Eric Gordon when they had all sorts of detractors.

Am I supposed to comment on every college player that scores 30+ points?

Chad Ford did say that he's inconsistent. Hit the nail on the head with that evaluation.

We'll stay consistent if McLemore's offense does

Who said you were?

I just figured since you went out of your way to make a statement about his utter garbage game that you may have an opinion about his fantastic one. Simple question, no need to get defensive about it.

Bennett hit two straight 3 pointers to open the game.

I don't have nothing against McLemore. I'm just a little skeptical about his ability. He's in my top 5 picks of best fits for us in the lottery.

McLemore also has an iffy past. Nothing crazy , but still.

Extremely talented though.

Some game notes from 1-10-13

James McAdoo vs Miami
+ good defensive awareness
+ good athlete
- jumpshot happy, practically in love with it.
- needs to improve handle
+ moves well without the ball
+ good body control
- gambles in passing lanes
+ can go left
- NOT an NBA PF, gotta improve range to become a stretch 4

Nerlens Noel vs Vanderbilt
+ unselfish
+ great athlete
+ active hands lead to steals
+ great shot blocker, either hand
+ lefthanded drive
- bites on fakes
- mechanical postgame, unpolished
- poor FT shooter
+ strong rebounder
+ hustler
+ lefty running hook

Archie Goodwin vs Vandy
+ looks for steals
-missed dunk on a fastbreak
+ nice lefthanded drive
- reckless, tunnel vision
+ good handle, euro-step
- bricked some open 3s, looks like a volume scorer
- no discernible mid-range game
+ stick with it-ness; follows shots
- chucker, shot selection killed UK's offense
(he played like a poor man's Brandon Knight in this game)

Alex Poythress vs Vandy
- bricked a quick 3
+ nice crossover, patient finish (crossed left, brought ball back over defender to finish right)
- must improve handle, driving (traveling, offensive fouls)
+ nice post-up (spin left baby hook)
+ goes to the rim strong
+ snatches boards
- head down drive leads to 2nd charge
? game more suited for NBA?
- Coach Cal's whipping boy
• doesn't see ball much
- 3rd charge (same head down driving)
- fouled out with 7 pts, 6 rbds

Willie Cauley-Stein vs Vandy
+ good offensive awareness
+ composed, makes good cuts
+ good passer, outlets too
+ slow, but moves well (intelligently)
+ goes to the rim strong
+ hustler
+ promising post-game

Pretty slim pickings this year though so the focus is REALLY going to be on guys like Baz, Noel, Zeller and McLemore (I didn't even know his name until about 3 weeks ago).

And hey, nothing wrong with a man crush. Hell, the whole board knows how guilty I am of it!

But man alive Beal or Lamb would be awesome on our roster right now (with MKG, not instead of him!!)

Yeah that's the thing. Historically speaking, I'm not as high on him as I've been on guys in past years. I didn't really know anything about McLemore before the year when I do my annual "The Are My Guys" list but he opened my eyes quickly....... then he shot up draft boards and everybody knew his name.

I like to be at the front of the charge though, just like Lillard last year

You definitely called Lillard much earlier than everybody else, I'll give you some props there. It wasn't until the Kings pre draft workout vid that I was convinced.

It's going to be an interesting draft in terms of fit. Obviously we need talent first and foremost but I think due to really polished offensive games, Baz, Bennett and McLemore definitely spearhead the list. Z-Rex and Noel (and Len) are probably next simply for being bigs that should be able to board well. I think Poythress is still a potential wildcard/homerun candidate. But if Bennett projects out to play 4 in the NBA, I wouldn't be surprised if he was the best fit for us.
