Hi Hornets board!

I'm going to be in Charlotte for a conference from Thu-Sun, and I'll also be going to the Raps vs. Hornets game. I was wondering if there are any hotspots in the city centre that I should check out. Foods I need to try, good clubs and bars, etc. I'm staying at the Hilton City Centre, so any feedback would be great!

I regret that Label Charlotte mention, Two were shot last night. Should have went during the CIAA tourney though. Place was insane if you enjoy partying.

Did any of you guys go out downtown this past week for CIAA parties? If so, how was it this year? Did somebody really get shot last night at Label? Where is Label anyway? Is that part of Epicenter? The Friendly Moose in Stallings, now THATS where the real party is. That place always has like 7 cars in the parking lot on a Friday night.

I work uptown and left at 4 on Thursday and 2 on Friday. Not dealing with the CIAA madness.

If you're into beer and work downtown, Duckworths' new uptown spot is opening tomorrow on 7th and Tryon. They're supposed to have like 140 taps or something crazy like that, I can't wait. Uptown desperately needs a good beer place, Duckworths is going to make a fortune.

Label is near the the amphitheatre and the fillmore

Pro Hoops History did a piece on Lever's career. It's nothing out of this world, it's basically the equivalent to a great wiki page, but I guess you'd still enjoy going through it, dropping a comment or smth.

That SI article "Fat is Lean and Tough" that they quote in the article is from an SI article back in the 80s... In college, I looked that article up on microfilm (back in the 90s before the Internet). I made a copy of the article and I had it hanging on my wall in my apartment. I actually found that copy of the article the other day while cleaning out some stuff.

I'm ordering my new license plate (old one makes my truck look old) through the Charlotte Hornets. You can get a Hornets logo on your plate for an additional $10 fee on top of your registration renewal fee. Anyways, I'm customizing my truck and I don't want anything to take away from the new additions. I just spent $2000 and plan to spend another $2000. I'll post pics as I get them. This is my mid-life crisis project.
