Is breaking a restraining order and breaking a windshield crimes the NBA gets involved in?
Not every crime results in NBA jumping in.

Feels like this probably hurts his wallet on his next contract, but idk if the NBA is going to jump in to ban him quickly again for what seems to be mostly the same incident, but idk all the details of course.

I have seen mixed stories so far, but seems like him and his ex-girl were both breaking the restraining order. Can't imagine how toxic that relationship is, seems like he still wants to be around kids but both seem a bit crazy.

I have no idea what the NBA will want to do about this, but legally the DA already chose to prosecute. With a warrant out, he will be arrested. Since it technically violates his restraining order, the case will go before a judge, who can determine how such action impacts his probation. Sticky wicket there.

League may not feel as much pressure to suspend him for this follow up, but if he has to do time per a judge’s ruling, that could change everything. Hornets may elect to release him per the terms of his contract IF he violated specific terms against repeat violence.

1) breaking her windshield happened shortly after he pled no contest and was put on probation. that led to an arrest warrant being issued Jan 2. the warrant was not served yet, so its still sealed.
2) apparently the 2nd incident happened yesterday

a) never said anything about the nba jumping in. where did you get that? like seriously. but, is it reasonablefor the hornets to have possibly uncovered this during their due diligence last year and again when potentially signing miles to a massive deal in july. maybe there was no way the hornets could have known? or maybe we did a half-ass job of investigating. i have no clue.

b) if the Jan 2 warrant for breaking probation was still sealed, it makes sense the hornets maybe could not have uncovered this during due diligence.

c) ultimately this is more on miles for breaking probation in the dumbest way possible and for not disclosing this during contract negotiations. if klutch knew, shame on them for hiding this for miles knowing the negotiations were in bad faith.

A criminal summons was issued Wednesday for Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges in North Carolina, the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to ESPN’s Baxter Holmes.

There is also an unserved arrest warrant for Bridges that was issued Jan. 2 for violating a domestic violence protective order, according to reports. The criminal summons was for violating that order, misdemeanor child abuse and injury to personal property. Jessica Allen and Glenn Counts of WSOC-TV in Charlotte first reported the summons and warrant.

Neither the warrant nor the summons had been officially served as of Wednesday night. Per ESPN, the incidents that led to the criminal summons being issued Wednesday occurred Tuesday and involved the woman who was involved in Bridges’ initial domestic violence arrest last year. Specifics about the Tuesday incident and the one in January, however, are not yet known.

And if Miles had another violent incident as recently as yesterday he needs to be released. He got a second chance and blew it, his roster spot should go to someone more deserving.

Also **** him for being such a moron that he does something like this right before the season starts and puts everyone on the team and the organization in this position. He should never be allowed anywhere near team facilities ever again.

YIKES…thanks Fatlever, I missed that he had committed an offense on 10/11. What an idiot. How much restraint must a man muster to keep from blowing up on his own family? It shouldn’t require much at all, but Miles evidently has very little control over his emotions…EVEN knowing his situation (probation, warrant pending on the earlier incident, contract and NBA future hanging in the balance).

Odds of him ever playing with the Hornets again are dropping fast.

How did Miles even find a way to screw up yesterday? He's been traveling with the team. This idiot could have just stayed in his hotel room and only left to practice, but his ass is out there trying to get himself thrown in jail. Depending on what happened if I were a judge I'd oblige and send him to where he seems to want to go.

Recidivism plus him potentially being back on the floor soon will force their hand to do something.

I'm not sure how well it'll go for Miles, considering keeping his nose clean is probably a big part of the NC agreement
