It seems like Marv gets injured most seasons, I could see it under that scenario.

Hopefully it doesn't happen. Our PF spot, surprisingly and amazingly has been the most productive position we have had in my opinion.

Which is absolutely insane.

Yeah, hopefully the 4 spot keeps it up because you know the rest will come around with the guys still learning to play together etc.

He would get annihilated at center right now.

So does Maxiell. AUSTIN F***ING RIVERS can shoot straight over him.

Maxiell wouldn't foul out in the first quarter, though.

We wouldn't know what Vonleh would do because we haven't seen it.

I'm not sure how anyone can claim (in definitive) what he would be like.

I'd sure as hell like to see what he can do.

I really hope we see a lot of him out there this season. I think he will icing the cake to what was already a great draft with PJ

Again, this is where the NBA isn't an even playing field right now. If Vonleh was drafted by GS, HOU, OKC or SA, he would be sent to play big minutes for their D League team this year. CHA doesn't have a single affiliate D League team, so Vonleh is going to "develop" on the bench, ostensibly via osmosis. Not an equitable developmental system right now.

I don't understand why MJ hasn't made moves to get his own D-League team. I am almost certain a team would do really well in Greensboro, Raleigh/Durham, or Norfolk/Va Beach. Hell, I could see the city of Norfok putting up a good chunk of change to renovate the Norfolk Scope for a team.

i keep thinking vonleh is going to be a 5 ultimately. it just matches his skill set so much better. but it will take a buy-in from him to happen. being a 5 would increase his roster value, i would think.

If Bosh pulled it off then I don't see why he couldn't make it work.

jesus, how low are expectations when you get a highlight video made of your 6 point, 2 rebound game?

in related videos
- biyombo catches a pass
- hairston successfully dribbles 3 times in a row
- ewing finds his car keys in his jacket pocket

Well, he is behind Maxiell on the depth chart so as long as he doesn't check into the game and immediately give the other team two free throws and himself a concussion by headbutting the first player to come near him then he has exceeded expectation.s

Just wait until he hatches from his egg and becomes Noah VonBosh, he'll get 6 and 2 each quarter. Then the highlight videos will be fantastic.

Curious how he will go rebounding against quality big men in the league.
He has good length, but doesn't seem much like a good leaper at all.
Looks very 'below-the-rim-esque' from what I've seen of him.

Vonleh looked okay out there in garbage time the other night. He has great size and length, he'll get a few boards just from those attributes alone. We're bringing him along slower than any of the other lottery picks, so hopefully our coaching staff spends that time instilling good habits. If he can be taught how to properly box out he'll be a decent rebounder at minimum, possibly even a really good one. It's all about technique, leaping ability is not always necessary if you box out effectively. A guy Vonleh's size has no excuse not to be a good rebounder, I'm more concerned about his defense and whether he can keep his fouls down at this point.
