Remix

James Harden southpaw 2011-2012 his last season with Thunder.

I don't want Harden who wants the ball in his hands the entire time and 30 shots.

Nash
-----
Carter
Garnett
Howard

Harden off the bench leading the second unit

I also love the idea of forcing Harden and Howard onto the same team again

Rookie Wilts overall game wasn't as refined as in his later years, but his physical tools were unrivaled even to this day and I don't plan on using him as my primary scoring option anyways. We are talking about a dude who stood 7'1" without shoes and ran a sub 11 second 100 yard dash, 49 second 440, broad jumped 22 feet, and high jumped 6'6" with the head old school style.

I highly recommend anyone that has never seen footage of young Wilt or is just curious about him in general to watch the first 20 minutes of this video and have your mind completely blown.

I'm still looking for depth and for a guy that can switch on defense. A guy that can step out on offense and put the ball on the floor. I want a guy that will fit in with the guys I already have on the team, but brings talent on both ends of the court.

Karl-Anthony Towns, 15-16, Rookie

I certainly looked at him as one of the best players to take in the Rookie category.

too good to pass up.. with the 5th pick I select

Image

Stop Shooting - Tracy McGrady 2003-04 - 28.0PPG, 6.0RPG, 5.5APG, 174 3s (.339 3P%), All-NBA 2nd.

He will be the leader of my second unit and thus he's perhaps in the perfect spot for himself in this kind of a tournament. T-Mac doesn't necessarily need to care so much (the biggest knock on him). His task is to do what he does best in a bench-leading role.

PG: Gary Payton 1999-00 - 24.2PPG, 6.5RPG, 8.9APG, 1.9SPG, 177 3s (league leader), All-Defense 1st, All-NBA 1st.
SG: Grant Hill 1994-95 - 19.9PPG, 6.4RPG, 5.0APG, 1.8SPG, 0.9BPG, All-Star, ROY.
SF: Chris Mullin 1989-90 - 25.1PPG, 5.9RPG, 4.1APG, 1.6SPG, .372 3P%, All-NBA 3rd.
PF:
C: Hakeem Olajuwon 1989-90 - 24.3PPG, 14.0RPG, 2.9APG, 2.1SPG, 4.6BPG, All-Defense 1st, All-NBA 2nd.

Bench:

Tracy McGrady 2003-04 - 28.0PPG, 6.0RPG, 5.5APG, 174 3s (.339 3P%), All-NBA 2nd.

Now I can freely move him, Hill and Mullin around those 2 and 3-spots. In case I face any rather modern roster, I can probably play all of them on the court at the same time for some devastating small-ball. Just as I have plenty of three-point shooting for such showdowns. For certain matchups, I can even start T-Mac and bring Hill off the bench. And more importantly - I continue to sustain the great passing theme on my team. Yet another excellent passer has been added to the roster as I'm 5/5 now.

My team has the shooters, facilitators, and high BBIQ guys to be the best offensive team the world will ever know. We all know this. The Achilles heel as my team is currently constructed is its paint defense. A lot of teams have softy PFs that LeBron can handle defensively, but he can't be our team's answer to the elite offensive bigs we'll face. We need a big man that can help us on the boards, but we especially need a man who will own the paint on defense, a man who will put fear into the soul of anyone who dares approach our hoop.

Who is this defensive terror?

With my fifth pick, I use my Big White Spliff pick to select 7'4", 275 pound Mark Eaton, the destroyer of worlds.

Image

In 1984-85, Mark Eaton won DPOY while averaging 5.6 blocks per game. He also pulled down 11.3 rebounds per game. He did some other stuff, but I give zero poops about that because on this team Eaton is going to block shots and grab rebounds and laugh in your face and insult your mama. Eaton is a guy that knows his role, won't ask for shots, and will do all of our dirty work.

My starting five is complete:

PG: Fat Lever
SG: Reggie Miller
SF: Peja Stojakovic
PF: LeBron James
C: Mark Eaton

Crap, this is what I get for looking at my spreadsheet on my phone, had him in multiple categories. Petition the draft administrators for a category change for my last pick.

I have a question. Can we change our starting 5? In case we won a matchup and face another team.

It's not really later in the draft though, nothing else has happened. I would understand if it impacted someone else's pick, but changing the category two seconds later doesn't do that.

Policy should be you can recategorize if you make the request before the next pick. Call it the bad morning YB rule.

Argument in support:

(1) encourages faster draft picks because you can correct if you fudge a category.

(2) does not negatively affect any other drafters.
