Because - College students are not allowed to have guns on campus as far as I know. Being a bBall player he likely lives in college owned housing. So that would be illegal to have on campus. We have already had one young guy arrested (bouk) with a gun and another for domestic violence this year. It may not be beneficial to add another guy with prior gun related questionable decision making to a young team with some serious behavior issues at this point. Were you being obtuse?

I stick to one easy (not so hard) solution : S&T Bridges, and draft Miller if he's available when Charlottes has its pick (baring some lottery luck for #1/#2).

I would gladly cut the ties between Bridges & Ball instead of reforming a potential toxic combo (in the sense that it's not Bridges who will help Ball to mature and behave responsibly).

We really need to win the lottery. I'm not looking forward to the arguments that will break out if we're picking 3-6.

It was a miserable, catastrophically bad year lottery gods, please help us.

Well they let him play and play well he did. Frankly impressive considering the adversity swirling around him

Hardly. I'm acutely aware of the situation.

Your initial statement, without clarification, gave the implication that simply having a gun was the problem.

In a world where some of these kids are walking around with hundreds of thousands to millions of NIL money, I'm willing to bet athlete targeting/baiting is becoming more prevalent.

I'd almost expect them to carry or have some form of security nearby for protection.

Delving deeper into the situation without more context seems premature and/or prejudicial. The police and DA have (at least thus far) cleared him of wrongdoing. You'd think they prosecute if they had the ability to in such a high profile case.

The Miller situation sucks, but again everyone sits on a high and mighty throne until they get stuck in a bad situation and beg for forgiveness. I personally try to not judge too harshly, because if it were me or someone I was close with in the situation I would probably have a different view on the situation.

I live my life that everyone has made an impropriate joke at some point, it just didn't get retweeted 800k times.
We all have probably lost our temper at some point that we would take back.
We all have been in a dumb situation that looking back we wish we would of made different choices.

If you have lived a perfect life then have it, good for you, but I would venture to bet 99% of people haven't.

Way too early to be completely out on a guy, but my arrow is trending down for Jarace Walker and Anthony Black.

Trending up for Thompson Twins, Miller and Keyonte George.

Right now my top 5 ish players are still pretty much the same. I just added Schifino back in. This is no particular order btw.

Anthony Black, Keyonte George, Nikola Durisic, Jalen Hood Schifino, Jalen Wilson, Noah Clowney, Brandon Miller,

Oh another reminder Wichita State VS Memphis - ESPN - 7PM. I truly think Craig Porter JR is a franchise PG.

Victor far and away #1. I think folks not wanting to draft him because he COULD get hurt is pure insanity.

Scoot at #2 because he has the next most star potential

Miller at 3 because he's the best player in college and is putting up insane efficiency. He's instantly the best shooter on the team the moment he suits up and has the size/length that keeps him on an NBA floor.

Thompson Twins at 4 because I don't know how to tell them apart. They are horrific shooters though and the poor FT% doesn't bode well for their development. The "better" shooter is 30% from three and 67% from the stripe. Rough. Great athletes though and they do some impressive things. At 6'7 I don't know if they can play the 4. Some questions there, but they just have "basketball talent"

Then I think I have Jarace Walker next? Big dude, plays physical and has a face up game, shoots well from deep and the floor. A PJ who isn't scared to rebound?

The Sensabaugh kid from OSU is shooting lights out too, as well as the Dick kid from Kansas.

I prolly wont watch this game but

I absolutely believe both Miller and Bridges should get a second chance to prove themselves good people going forward. But, at this point it would be hard to have both of them on the Hornets and not look just terrible. A young mother is dead and another one got beaten up badly and no matter what else happened those facts are not a link the Hornets can afford right now. Hopefully, both guys turn out to be great men and good players while we end up with an all-NBA level future superstar with no controversial background in Wemby.

Dick seems like he could be a good Gordon Hayward replacement.

I HAAAATE GUNS. And of course there are many who think, it aint the guns who kill people its the people.

Well of course it can be looked at THAT WAY.

But you also know that for every time a gun has been used to defend an innocent person, I am willing to bet that those same guns took out maaaany more innocent people. Whether it be used by beta males to fight a war, used by a cop on some innocent person, or innocent persons in general.

A WRONG attempt at solving a problem doesn't always lead to a WRONG conclusion, but it doesn't mean that you should have
used that wrong to RITE that particular outcome...

If your GOAL is to be none violent than you have to do EVERYTHING you can to push that narrative.

If you tell me a particular area has no crime and they leave their doors open I am willing to bet you will find less guns
there than you would an area where crime is HIGH.

Although far from perfect, I try to live by what I advise.

When I speak of a non voilent world I do so with a BIBLE in my hands.

Why do I use a bible? Because it's cheaper and has been used to deter much more crime than any weapon.

Gradey Dick 40% from 3, 85% FT, 6’8, 19 yo, high BBIQ, and endless tasteless puns on his name; he's my #3 after Wembayana and Miller

If we can move Bridges to Portland or somewhere else for a late lottery pick I'd be all about that. Gradey Dick would be a lethal shooter on this team.

Problem is I think Dick fits best between a guy like Bridges and Melo. Bridges between a Ball and a Dick, to put it another way.

Positionally, I don't know how you make that work though

Dick is already a better perimeter defender than Rozier.

LaMelo/Dick/Bridges/Washington/Williams

With Rozier and Hayward anchoring the bench.

That's not really saying much, is it?

And I don't see a world where they can afford both Terry and Hayward off the bench. That's just terrible resource allocation

Hayward will be gone after next season. But yeah you're right about Rozier. He needs to be traded, but we someone to replace him before we can make that move.

Dick can fit on any team. Hard to tell what his ceiling is though, since he's not that springy.

Could be an All-Star 3pt specialist or he could be an average Joe Harris. One of those is worth a top 5 pick, the other isn't.
