Then using Diaws expiring contract to either get a 2012 first rounder and a filler since we our 2012 draft pick is Chicagos (lottery protected thank God). Then throw huge money at Paul and pray.

Isn't Henderson the SG of the future?

Sure, but Burks can play 3 different positions. Spot PG duty, SG and SF. he can come off the bench for Jackson or Hendo, and a little competition never hurt anyone.

I'm taking BPA regardless in this weak as watered down, generic dollar store brand kool-aid of a draft. I wouldn't even hate MJ if he traded down in this draft, especially if an anorexic Stromile Swift aka Tristan Thompson is our BPA @ #9.

@ #9 I'd take a reach at Donatas Motiejunas and pray that he's as offensively gifted as they say, making sure to pair him with Kwame or somebody with some junkyard dog in him.

@ #19 I don't really care but I'd like to see Chris Singleton, I think he's sorely underrated.

@ #39 I'd love to see JaJuan Johnson fall but I'll take anybody with a jumpshot.

9th Biyombo or Burks if Biyombo is taken
19th Hamilton
39th BPA - preferably Keith Benson

NO euros other then Kanter

Why do we want yet another PF in Biyombo? The guy is not a C at 6'9", he is a PF. We don't need ANOHTER PF right now when we have so many other needs. If your looking for a big man, then look at Donatas Motiejunas, which I think might have to be our choice. We desperately need a big man and he could come in with a Bargnani type of affect (hopefully). Then we can hope that Jordan Hamilton falls. If not Donatas then I'm fine with Alec Burks. I do like his versatility and I think his future may actually be at SF rather than SG. I still don't like the fact he i snot a great shooter from deep. In that sense he is a terrible match to be paired with Hendo, but perhaps one of the two could improve that part of there game.

I have almost zero interest in Singleton at 19. If we go Burks at 9 then I would probably go Jordan Williams at 19.

I take Biyombo at #9 only if I know I have a deal in place to trade Diaw away. Not enough PT for Biyombo, TT and Boris. And Boris has trade value with his overall game and his contract expiring soon.

Random thoughts:

-Wow in no way shape or form is DJ a top 10 PG in this league, i don't care how aggressive he plays.

-Biyombo is an interesting prospect, Chad Ford made comments about him yesterday during the combine that made me think a little. He's only being judged on the Nike Hoop Summit, and that it would be a huge risk to take him in the top 10 which I agree. Also his offensive game is super raw besides dunking. With that being said though he is a freak and even if he doesn't develop an offensive game could be a mini-Serbe Ibaka type player defensively.

Also playing in a division with LeBron, D-Wade, John Wall, Josh Smith, etc you really need bigs that can defend the cup.

-I think the draft will mark the end of Borris Diaw as a Bobcat

-I like Alec Burks but as bobcats3wallace mentioned, is not a good enough deep shooter at this time. I'm sure he can and will improve but it's a tough sell to me to pick a shooting guard in the top 10 that can't shoot. I'd much rather take a big guy here and then take a guy like Marshon Brooks later on who can do some of the same things Burks can do but is a better shooter from the perimeter.

-Brooks works nicely out of the triple threat position. He won't have free reign to let the ball fly in the NBA like he did at college, if he gets better at picking his spots he can be an effective player. With that being said, shooting as many times as he did he shot 48%(55.9% from 2 pt range) from the field which is an awesome number, especially for a SG, he was also 34% from 3, which ain't too bad either considering he put up around 6 3PA per game. He is a true scorer which is something this team is badly lacking.

-The more I look at the board the more I have a feeling we have to pick an international player at 9

-I'm interested to see how Jordan Hamilton interviews. The knock on him seems to be his attitude and effort may not be there at all times. He to can be erratic at times leading to more 1 and done possessions on offense.

-Chris Singleton, another interesting prospect, really athletic and strong defender at the 3 spot., will be a pretty good player in the league, not sure if he does enough offensively to fit in with our team. I can see him going in the early 20's to a pretty good team and having a nice impact. He's kind of a glue player that will defend hard and hit wide open jumpers. There isn't much to glue together here so I think we'll pass on him, but I still like what he brings.

-I am predicting that we go with a big at 9. I mean that's where the value seems to be, and I just don't see any backcourt players on the board at 9 that would merit the pick.

http://aol.sportingnews.com/nba/feed/20 ... h-top-pick

check out this scary mock that has us taking jimmer at 9... only slightly redeemed by letting us grab vesely at 19.

i wouldnt cry a river if we landed jimmer at 19 and vesely at 9, so at the end of the day it would be ok, but jimmer would probably crumble under the pressure of being a top 10 pick. at 19 he can come in and be a role playing spot up shooter and not be expected to be a starter. but dj and jimmer on the floor together would be the worst defensive backcourt south of the washington generals.

Just left long day and night in hotel lobby at Pre-Draft camp, where GM says Jimmer Fredette was "most impressive interview I've ever done."

he is already light years ahead of ammo then. ammo was the worst interview ever. take that slow, white, terrible defending, jumpershooter, from small college comparison.

Anyone with me in considering Jeremy Tyler at #39? Measurements from the combine came out today and he had the longest wingspan and reach. I know the guy has maturity problem but he has great size and body to play the 5 for us. Chad ford said he has both a face up and post up game as his strength, something we definitely need. I think Oak can transform this guy to a legit Big man.

DraftExpress Jonathan Givony
Solid measurements for Enes Kanter. He's a legit NBA Center at 6-11 in shoes, w/a 7-1.5 wingspan, 259 lbs. He's having a good combine.

DraftExpress Jonathan Givony
Don't know why Tobias Harris is being criticized for his measurements. He's 6-8 in shoes w/a 6-11 wingspan. That's what he was supposed to be

Kanter showing his youth and a year layoff when it comes to defense. But that can be remedied. If his Defense was as good as the rest of his game, very good chance he would be going #1. Dont see the deficiency allowing him to dro to #9 at all. Likely #3 pick, #4 at worse.

Got measurements from the draft combine. Kyrie Irving was 6' 1.75" in socks and 6' 3.5" in shoes with a 6' 4" wingspan. But 10.3 body fat Fatty! :D

chadfordinsider Chad Ford
Jeremy Tyler measured with the biggest wingspan -- a whopping 7' 5". He also had the largest standing reach at 9' 4.5"

chadfordinsider Chad Ford
Providence's Marshon Brooks had the biggest wingspan among guards with a crazy 7' 1" wingspan. He's longer than bothMorris twins.

chadfordinsider Chad Ford
Kawhi Leonard had a huge 7' 3" wingspan and the biggest hands of anyone at the camp. But just 6' 7" in shoes.

6'8 in shoes is a bit too small for my liking. He's too similar to Diaw in my eyes for me to want to go down that road again.

Among the players that didn't meaasure wel were Tobias Harris -- just 6' 6.5" in socks -- pretty short if he's a power forward

chadfordinsider Chad Ford
Morehead States Kenneth Faried measured just 6' 6" in socks and 6' 7.5" in shoes. However he has a 7' wingspan and a 9' standing reach.

Trey Thompkins had 15.5 percent body fat - the most among the prospects here.

chadfordinsider Chad Ford
USC Nikola Vucevic has a crazy 7' 4.5" wing

Biyombo can play center, hes only 18 theres a good chance he'll grow another inch or two, plus he has a HUGE wingspan, and has a high motor. I think he has a dwight howard build and that would be his best case ceiling, his worst case ceiling is ben wallace, which isn't bad at all.

I am on Biyombo bandwagon. If he falls he is a nobrainer. I would even trade up (depends on what to give up). He cna easily be C, I don't see why not.
