He can create his own, and he can create for others. He can run the point in an emergency.

Great news. All this excitement and for what?

That might have been the reason for the "discounted" contract.

Unbelievable. How big a sucker can this club be? Didn't the guy need to get a physical before signing a contract? Either we ignored it or we are a doomed franchise.

http://www.nba.com/bobcats/release_williams_111215.html

Williams will have surgery in the coming days to repair a tear of the lateral meniscus in his left knee. He is expected to be sidelined for approximately 6-8 weeks.

With the shortened season he should be ready to come back for the playoffs that we are not going to make.

There's always a catch. For once, we could just not get a good deal and be done with it.

....Really?????. If this just happened in practice today, then fine. But if we just knowingly inked a player with a torn meniscus in his knee who requires surgery to a $5mil contract then our FO are fools.

Damnit. It's never simple for us. Why the hell would you sign a guy to a two year 5 million deal when you KNEW he needed surgery on his knee? He is not that much of a proven player to justify that!

Full on tank mode now!!! At the rate we're going, David Stern might award us the #1 pick before the season even starts.

Hopefully the injury isn't too bad and he can come back strong next season when we're competing for an NBA title.

It would be our luck to finally sign a player to a great deal............ only to have him miss half the season with an injury!

I wonder how old this injury is? Why don't these guys get this stuff handled before the season starts? It's not like he didn't have the time, unless it's recent. Frustrating.

Officially sign and needing surgery within an Hour!!! How does that happen?!

rick_bonnell Rick Bonnell
Williams' injury is similar to what Tyrus Thomas had last season. So it's delayed gratification time.

#Bobcats won't have Reggie Williams for 6-8 weeks. He needs surgery to fix a meniscus tear.

A guy on the Golden State board mentioned something about an injury in Europe. I can't find anything on it through Google but that may very well be the case.

wait let me get this right:
We have No useful center, the one FA pickup we made got injure, basically for the entire season, Bismack is getting screwed by the Spanish... What the ****. God Dam we better get the #1 pick, that lotto machine better not join the list of things that have **** us!
Next thing you know we will be hearing that Biyombo is actually 28years old and has bad knees or that Kemba Walker finally found his true calling in life and has decided to become a priest. I mean with how bad our luck has been I would swear that Robert Johnson used some sort of dark sacriment to found the franchise and that god has been punishing us ever since.
