Joseph Treutlein Where do you think you'll be drafted?

Tyrus Thomas I'm not sure, I can't answer that. Where do you think I'll be drafted?

Joseph Treutlein I'm not sure either, you'd have to ask the teams.

I actually agree with Tyrus here.

Joseph Treutlein asks him where he thinks he will be drafted but admits himself when Tyrus flips the question that the only way to know is to ask the teams.

If Treutlein already knew that then why ask Tyrus?

Rick Bonnell: Just spoke with Tyrus Thomas' agent: Tyrus training in Texas and he has gained 20 much-needed pounds to 240. A good sign. Twitter

Just saw that, was going to post. I think this is encouraging, and another reason we don't take ThoR. Huge hole at 3, take BPA or MKG.

i dont believe in tyrus for one second and i definitely wouldnt pass on thor because tyrus gained 20 lbs. tyrus has so many problems, being underweight was only 1 of them. he still has is a knucklehead, fouls too often, can't defend in post 1v1, jumper is broken, has 0 post moves and turns the ball over too often. he still only has one true skill which is blocking shots and he doesnt even to that at a high enough rate any longer to justify playing time.

I'm still willing to give him one more chance this year. I don't think it should impact our draft at all if we go Robinson or another PF but I feel the position move and health concerns messed him up last year.

If he can return and be a 10/6/2 player, I'll be satisfied. Still overpaid but not that bad of a deal.

Skinny players gain 20 pounds of muscle in the offseason, fat players lose 20 pounds in the offseason. It's clockwork

If he had a real high protein diet and muscle building program, he could definitely put on a bunch of lean muscle since mid April. He's not some bro at the gym, he's an elite level athlete with a multimillion dollar bank roll.

I put on 10lb of muscle in my first year of college. And I didn't have a world class trainer or nutrition plan.

Very very tough for even an athlete to put on 20 lbs of muscle in a calendar year let alone the offseason months. Unless of course you're on the juice....

Ok, so we can expect Anthony Davis to look like T-Rob this time next year?? It takes years to put on that much muscle, and a lot of dedication and clean eating.

Not sure why you quoted me. Dwight Howard was a pretty skinny dude coming into the league, not sure how Davis' build compares to Thor's, but he has years of strength training on him. i didn't claim Tyrus had gained 20 lbs of muscle, but I think it's dumb people are joking that his weight gain is bf%. I think it's easier to lose fat than gain lean muscle mass, but you can definitely make fast strides if you do drastic things, especially if you're as underdeveloped as Tyrus. Access to PEDs, trt or legal cutting edge supplements would help.

ok, yea, i agree with you on that. Also it's a lot easier for a younger cat to make gains(or losses) than an older person. TT is only 25 so he shouldn't have much problems doing whatever. I'm sure his agent has to be embellishing his gains at least a little.

Simple question for Charlotte Bobcats forward Tyrus Thomas: What happened last season?

“Life happened,” Thomas replied Monday with not a hint of sarcasm or annoyan

“I’m at a point in my career where it feels like ‘Groundhog Day,’ ’’ Thomas said of his seventh NBA training camp, starting Tuesday morning at UNC Asheville. “I thought last year could be the season that solidified me, but it was actually my worst. So the last few months have been about getting back to where I know I can be.’’

“I was hospitalized the week before camp with stomach ulcers,’’ Thomas said. “Lost 20 pounds and never really gained it back’’ until after the season.

He’s excited about Dunlap because Dunlap is excited about him.

“He came to Baton Rouge (Thomas’ home in Louisiana) and we talked at least once a week all summer,” Thomas described. “I like that he wants to get out and run. Attacking the basket is a way I can help.”

His weight is now up to 245 pounds and he clearly looks stronger in his arms and shoulders.

“I try to stay away from fried food. The idea was to get more value from your food,” Thomas said. “Getting what your body needs, instead of just eating for taste.”
