PF. He outplayed T Rob in both their meetings this year. RW had 18pts 17 Rebs and 4 assists & T Rob had 11pts 14 Rebs. RW had 18 pts 9 Rebs & 5 assists vs T Rob 13 pts & 7 Rebs in 2nd meeting.

hotrod knows what's up. Yeah, there's no way Royce plays SF, it would be a tragic misuse of his skills.

“@SIPabloTorre: Royce, on Michael Kidd-Gilchrist: "I don't like that kid. He's too hyped up. He's not as good as they think he is. He's a kid. I'm a man."”

White is very confident in his skills. Remember during game against Kentucky, in which he had 23,9 & 4, he mouthed to cameras "I'm the best player on the floor!".

he is in for a rude awakening in the NBA...he may never be the best player on the floor at any given time

Sounds like someone is trying to be the next Charles Barkley (mouth wise)

Despite his play, Royce White is not climbing up the board after interviews and workouts. If anything his stock, is steady to slightly falling. He certainly has a lot of skills; and at best could become Diaw without the flaky laissez faire attitude. Still a tweener at the NBA level.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

he was right. he's more developed than any of the Kentucky players were. Doesn't mean he'll remain the best, but still.

an excerpt from the July 2 issue of Sports Illustrated's article by Pablo S. Torre:

...The next game, an 87-71 loss to Kentucky in which White had 23 points, nine rebounds and four assists, sent him to the NBA for good. Davis would allow that "Royce was beating us by himself"--outrunning the likely No.1 selection down the floor, abusing lottery lock Michael Kidd-Gilchrist with spin moves, besieging the rim.
In the end, zero projected top 15 picks agreed to work out against White for NBA teams. Doing so would be best described as high risk, low reward.

Nobody Cares!!!!!

so this is the reason he fell all the way to 16. We will see how awesome he is when he is on the end of Houstons bench all season.

Pretty interesting article though. White is a kind of a renaissance man.

No thanks, there's no telling what Royce will put up on Houston's Island of misfit assets. That situation is too volatile to make predictions since they're in full wheeling and dealing mode. Maybe when the dust settles.

I really don't get why we are still talking about this kid. We didn't spend this much time crying about missing the Brow.

I agree. I wanted him but it did not happen. Time to let him go. Now if we can somehow snag him in a trade to help Houston rent Howard I am all for it.

So... I guess you didn't read the quote then. I'll be a buddy and highlight the important bit:

[Anthony] Davis would allow that "Royce was beating us by himself"--outrunning the likely No.1 selection down the floor, abusing lottery lock Michael Kidd-Gilchrist with spin moves, besieging the rim.

Alright, I'm done MKG bashing, just thought that was interesting since I'm apparently "crazy" for thinking White is/could be better than our guy.

Go team Waterboy!

I keep hearing about Houston going for Dwight. I wonder if we could us one of the Detroit or Portland picks to nab white. He would be a good fit in our new offense. That way we have three players to bring the ball up court and start the offense off the break.

Anyone think we could or should try to pull this off?

Absolutely. White would be a top 10 pick in any other draft.
