Dunlap was bad, Zeller is questionable but too early to tell. No problem with the other things you listed though.

MKG was and is a great pick. I don't know why so many think that - at 19 - he's not gonna make strides. He actually had a pretty good year, but as a Bobcat he doesnt get his due.

And what was wrong with the Kemba pick? He's been a great value for the ninth selection.

gamer4Life wrote:If it's really Cho, then Cho is a questionable GM. Cody Zeller? Kemba Walker? MKG? What happened to talent over position? Hiring Dunlap then firing him?

Are all these his decisions?

The Ben Gordon trade was good though...

lets review his major transactions

traded overpaid and over-the-hill stephen jackson and #19 for #7 and cory maggette
drafted biyombo #7
drafted walker #9
traded 2nd round pick for mullens
signed reggie williams to 2 year cheap deal
signed dunlap
drafted mkg #2
traded maggette to pistons for gordon and lightly protected 1st
traded carroll for warrick
traded warrick for mcroberts
fired dunlap
hired clifford and ewing and price
drafted zeller #4

the only bad move he has made was dunlap (which was rod higgins guy, not who cho wanted) so you cant really blame him for dunlap.

jury still out on biyombo pick. kemba pick was very good. mkg pick should be very good. mcroberts trade was great, gordon trade was great, stephen jackson trade was great. reggie williams was a flop, but a cheap one. mullens was worth the gamble of a 2nd round pick.

traded overpaid and over-the-hill stephen jackson and #19 for #7 and cory maggette - great deal, jackson fell off right after this deal and we moved up 12 spots while dumping him

drafted biyombo #7 - so far looks like a decent pick, nothing to complain about, though Klay or Kawhi would've been lovely picks

drafted walker #9 - second best player in the 2011 draft so far

traded 2nd round pick for mullens - terrific. Mullens has had his struggles, but boy does he have potential

signed reggie williams to 2 year cheap deal - whatever. the money meant nothing, reggie did nothing

signed dunlap - great tank move

drafted mkg #2 - any time you draft the next Shawn Marion, that is a good thing

traded maggette to pistons for gordon and lightly protected 1st - best trade in franchise history. gordon helped the tank and we got an awesome pick out of it

traded carroll for warrick - warrick was better than hammer

traded warrick for mcroberts - great trade, Cho apparently wanted McBob for a while and got him for cheap

fired dunlap - i'm actually on the fence on this. dunlap should've helped the tank another year

hired clifford and ewing and price - great coach signings, but it may turn out to be a move made too soon, we should be tanking next year

drafted zeller #4 - solid pick, nothing spectacular, but it's a solid pick

lets review his major transactions

traded overpaid and over-the-hill stephen jackson and #19 for #7 and cory maggette - Yeah, good move.

drafted biyombo #7 - We will know by this year maybe but definitely by year 4 if this was a good pick or not.

drafted walker #9 - Liking it so far.

traded 2nd round pick for mullens - Solid move that had decent low risk/high reward potential.

signed reggie williams to 2 year cheap deal - Cheap but a swing and a miss.

signed dunlap - Thought he was a scapegoat from the start.

drafted mkg #2 - Early returns suggest decent pick but passed on some possibly better value for him.

drafted Jeffery Taylor #31 - Good pick

traded maggette to pistons for gordon and lightly protected 1st - Probably his best move.

traded carroll for warrick - Warrick>Carroll
traded warrick for mcroberts - McBob>>>>>>>>Warrick

fired dunlap - Again, scapegoat hire.

hired clifford and ewing and price - Possibly the best coaching staff we've assembled. We'll see.

drafted zeller #4 - Bad reach for need over talent. Noel, McLemore, Len, and McCollum are all arguably better players with higher upside.

ok, good breakdowns. Guess the press and certain posters bashing "MJ's" moves swayed my opinion..

Should post all this info in the first post and update it...

Funny how nobody remembers Livingston was a part of the Jackson trade.

Also picking up Haywood should be included imho. He may be included in future (possibly significant) trades.

i definitely should have included sessions and haywood in the transactions. would give haywood OK and sessions great for the money.

Any way to sticky this and post all the deals (maybe with links to their respective threads) in the original post?

Jefferson for $14/season. Rich Cho move or MJ move?

I thought Cho was all about the tank, until you get a major star... the OKC model.

Maybe it was an edict from MJ - you are only allowed to tank for two years..

I would have thought Cho would avoid a move like this. However, he's also considered a numbers guy, and Al Jeff's 21 PER & 13.8 WARP are impressive analytics.

I really don't think we have the coin for Mayo. Plus apart of me wants to see Henderson back since he was with us through those horrid seasons.

We don't have the money for either of those guys right now. Right now all I care about is seeing Hendo and McBob and possibly Mullens back with us next year. We've made our FA splash, let's bring back our guys now.

Although I do appreciate you trying to repair the tank with lots and lots of bricks.

I want to give a big DX salute to all those who were moaning draft for talent trade for need. It's obvious Zeller was Cho's BPA on draft day when they sign both McBob and Al Jeff. This guy is shrewd, I'm a big fan
