What's decent?

The Pelicans fell off a cliff when Roberts had to start in place of Holiday.

Also looking a B-R, he scored more against Charlotte than any other team last season. He averaged 16.5ppg against Charlotte and Kemba only averaged 13.5ppg (10-30 shooting) vs NO.

Holiday is an All-Star PG also

Pels fans hoping for a sign and trade involving Hopson, apparently the Asik trade is still on the back-burner.

Yes, but he still had Davis/Gordon/Evans playing with him

It's as if we're trying to sign the mist mediocre back up free agents at each position. I guess the announcement of Cole Aldrich signing should come shortly. If there's one word to describe the offseason thus far, it's "mediocre".

I hate to break this to you but I think the Knicks resigned him already. (why, I have no idea. Guy looks like he'd rather eat candy than be a relevant NBA player)

he's their only center, I think. They traded Chandler for Calderon and Ellington, and only have amare and Bargs up front,

Didn't realize it. Thought they waived his UNG contract and he was a FA.

I like this signing better than almost any one we've made in the offseason.

I do specifically remember this kid lighting us up in the past when we played the Pelicans (then Hornets). From the sample size I saw:

-he shot well, or at least shot selection was spot on
-he found his team mates more than anything
-finished every game with like 8+ assists

I think he can be good if we give him a chance and don't bench him/ridicule him after 1 or 2 average performances

I like this signing.

Could do worse for a 12mpg backup.

Huge upgrade over Ridnour at the least.

Poor man's Augustin - but probably half the price of Augustin so I guess fair is fair.

Didn't need to bring Augustin back anyway. Would be too awkward.

I wonder who's going to be the 3rd string PG, a D-Leaguer or a undrafted free-agent? Because that's probably the next chain of command if Cho is planning on finding somebody that's a certified lesser talent than Roberts. I'm not even trying to be sarcastic. It's just that the truth may come out that way sometimes

good value for roberts. he is high end 3rd string, low end 2nd string pg. miles better than ridnour, who was a low end 3rd string guy. he can shoot and is a solid playmaker. obviously his size isnt ideal.
