Dirk doesn't think Mavs will take Lauri. Not sure if he knows something or just talking...

Dirk calls Lauri Markkanen a "good kid." Adds "he's got a future in this league" but doesn't think "that's the route we're going to take."

If true, does that mean if Wolves pass, he slides? Maybe to Kings at 10 if they take Fox at 5. I can't see Knicks taking him with PZ already on team and in such need for PG.

I think the scenarios are in play for the dude to slide right to us at 11. Creates an interesting scenario, but really, how could you pass on a guy with this talent and size at 11? Yes the stockpile of big white guys is beyond any reasonable quota, but "The Marksman" would be a great contributor on this squad at the 4, and allow Frank to play more minutes at the 5.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

On the ESPN draft special Jacoby called him the "White Channing Frye".

It is hard not to think of him as a white Channing Frye. Admittedly, I don't know a ton about Lauri but surely he's got more upside to warrant this much hype, right?

Even Frye in his prime making 2+ threes a game on 44%, wouldn't be worth a top-ten pick.
