If MCW is going to be out for a while longer Jameer Nelson would be a great pick up. He can't defend at all anymore, but he's solid offensively and can definitely run the offense and stretch the floor.

That said I'm wondering which teams will disappoint this year and be looking to shed players to go in a different direction. Memphis, New Orleans, and Detroit are obvious candidates but I think Orlando, the Clippers, and even the Spurs could entertain some dramatic roster overhauls. It was a crazy off-season of movement and I believe that will continue during the season. The league is about to transition to a post-Lebron era and the new CBA will split the Warriors up in the near future, the smart teams are planning ahead. If we're stuck in mediocrity with such a large payroll I hope we join the aforementioned teams and look to shake things up with an eye to the future.

Jameer totally destroyed Felton and averaged around 24 points 5 assists ans 2.5 steals.
With Howard grabbing 20 and 10 and 5 blocks!

I still blame brown for some of that, he got his frankencenter combination but still insisted on everyone doubling Howard, should've told the 3 centres we had to defend Howard physically but don't give help. Howard would've gotten the same stats, but we might have limited the others some.

I knew nothing about him so just read his DX profile. They made him sound like he would probably be an ok 3nD player if he's engaged on defence, but noted that he often was caught napping. Loose handle, can't finish, little burst of speed on the drive.

Can't imagine he would fit well here, Clifford would have a fit with him napping on d, although a solid 3nD point guard who can defend 2 guards as well would be good next to monk.

Nelson next to Monk would give Cliff a hernia on D.

And would likely result in Monk's minutes getting cut given Nelson & Cliff's prior relationship + Cliff's prior behavior with vets.

That said Nelson was OK last year wasn't he?

Oh.

Guess not.

Those advanced stats for D ... ugh.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Playing Nelson over Monk would be like playing Hansbrough over Frank. I think we exaggerate Cliff's preference for vets.

Gordon Hayward broke his leg after 4 minutes in the game... wow, I saw it almost live.
It's always sad when you see that... You can feel the atmosphere in the arena

Feel so bad for Hayward. Just a few minutes into his Celtics debut he totally **** his leg.

When he went down I was more worried about his neck, shoulder, or back. But daaaaammnnn I'm not even hungry anymore. Can't eat after watching that

Prayers for Gordon Hayward! That makes you sick to your stomach as a fan no matter who you root for! I wanted to rewind to see exactly how it happened but couldn't bring myself to do it! :(

Well, the NBA finals are set. Cleveland vs. Golden State. Who you got?

Ugh, so awful to see. The reaction of the other players on the floor and how quiet the crowd was basically said it all. Feel really bad for Hayward. Like to think they can fix that up and he can rehab it to be back to 100% next season.

Always liked him and wished we were able to get him. This is overall a bad injury year in the NFL and it’s extending to the NBA pretty quickly.

At least Hayward got his money beforehand. I wish him a speedy recovery and I'm sorry it happened. :(

Totally speechless man. It saddens me because I don't even know if Hayward will be able to come back from that. He was in his prime and setup for a great year. It's crazy how much the tables are turned after 1 game.
The Charlotte Hornets will win their first round series against the Boston Celtics in the 2021 Playoffs

I feel sorry for Hayward, hes a good guy and will miss a year of his prime. But not for the Celtics. Their fans and announcers are insufferable and they have an air of superiority about them

Paul George came back from it, I'm confident Hayward will as well.

The season has not started off well though, first the Mirotic/Portis fight and now Hayward with a bad injury.

Are the Nike jersey's made with TOO thin of material? This is the second jersey to rip so far.
