I'd give up PJ for him. Not sure what else it takes, but Turner solves a lot of our woes inside and gives us a young true big. It also ends the musical chairs of Miles/PJ/center-du-jour rotation of guys. It cements Miles in the starting lineup at the 4 too.

I'd like to keep #11 though to find a Brogdon/Booker type SG/SF to pair with Ball.

I wouldn't trade PJ or 11 for Myles Turner.

Someone name me a better center we can realistically get than Turner? I think Turner would be an excellent fit with this team. Speed might drop at times, but Myles is light years ahead of what we have now. Also believe Hornets represent an exciting reset for him; would provide motivation. For sure deal the 11 and appropriate players, then go get an impact player in FA. We need a big step up this offseason to be playoff locked and playoff competitive next year.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Myles Turner

- Doesn't rebound
- Doesn't catch lobs or dunks
- Misses a good chunk of games every year very similar to Cody Zeller

I'd rather run with someone young like Kai Jones, trade for someone like Jaxson Hayes. Unless Miles Bridges grows 3-4 inches to play the 4, I'd only trade for Turner if we win the lottery and take Cunningham, as Washington and Turner are too similar on offense to play together

He is better than what we have, but he has missed at least 20 games in 4 seasons, including almost half the games this season.

He is pretty much PJ Washington that blocks shots. Doesn't score much, doesn't rebound much and shoots a solid % on jumpers.

I don't think he is worth the 11th. I'd definitely try to sign two other Pacers this off-season though, McConnell and McDermott. They're both better than what we have.

There is a reason the Pacers want to trade Miles Turner. I don't think he makes Charlotte all that much better given the contract.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

I think it's legend because their best player is a center and not an indictment on Turner's value.

It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to keep the former Celtic thing going by signing Kelly Olynyk. He isn't the rim protector that we've needed, but he won't hurt us on offense like a lot of the other free agent bigs would. He's also been pretty dependable from a health standpoint his entire career.* Which is an underrated quality for sure.

Ben Simmons is the center we need. Give up the farm for him, Philly will look to make a move if they lose to the Hawks

I’m really not that high on Turner. For what his perceived value seems to be vs what he brings, I don’t think it makes enough of a difference for us. I’d rather use that package for Porzingis since at least he’s a scoring threat.

Man, after watching the Mavericks (win or lose)...I have a feeling they'll be reaching out to/for Graham, Monk, and Zeller.

You're not wrong. Hes above average and a pretty good fit, but hes also pretty overrated and Pacers seem to want a decent haul for him. I think PJ will be a better player than him and I definitely wouldn't trade the 11th pick in this draft for him either. I'd be interested if we could sign him outright, but I wouldn't want to get in a bidding war for him on the trade market.

The guy I want at center is Simmons. I would offer Hayward and Rozier. Turner would be good, but I wouldn’t give up PJ.

Another great option would be towns. If Minny gives up their pick and has another bad year we need to keep an eye on that.

If we can’t get one of those guys, just get who ever is young and cheap. Position ourselves for a towns or simmons free agency

I was thinking the same thing watching guys like Schroder and Caruso build brickhouses for the Lakers. Monk and Graham would be such a huge upgrade for them. It's astonishing the lack of shooting they've put around James and Davis. But yeah, I could see the Mavs, the Knicks, the Lakers, and several other teams going after them

Porzingis scares me a little, injuries, sometimes defender, I’m also worried he might be a diva. Apparently resistant to playing centre.

The key on unicorn is we’d be buying low. He doesn’t seem to fit well with Dallas. It definitely comes with risks but how risky is it if we aren’t giving up Miles or LaMelo?

Maybe he does not like getting hit by folks driving to the rim?

The next unicorn is Wembanyama (more of a 4 than a future 5 though), i am well placed to know. And he plays -in our pro league.. - on both ends (still 17 years old though). Just be patient, collect picks and get him in 2023. He's well educated, coachable, not a headcase at all.
Porzingis makes no sense since like Alridge and others, he wants to play at the 4

Trading for Zubac for cheap would make so much sense, since his contract is done in 2023 and he would provide real inside/outside game with Ball. Turner's contract also ends in 2 years, i just dont get the idea of giving up assets for a rental basically. Or B. Clarke, or Okongwu if for some reasons Atlanta were making him available since Atlanta is well advanced in the rebuild.
