I do drink some of the bojangles twisted teas though and come on here to give dRafT aNalYsIs and wake up to 9 notifications telling me how wrong I am.

Lol maybe it gets better heading towards Charlotte but I live in a little town called Candler. The employees at our Bojangles are just as inclined to shoot meth behind the dumpster than they are to make food.

I would kill to be able to eat bojangles again. Sadly, it's not in the cards.Liver_Pooty wrote:Bojangles is awful. There's one every 10 blocks here in Asheville. Cookout however ..

I'd be willing to take a chance on Zion if the team feels that Scoot or Miller aren't really worth more. He's just so good when he plays. Maybe he turns it around, maybe he doesn't but if he does, we're immediately a contender imo.

It has to be a Charlotte thing because Bojangles in my area cumberland county are also pretty dead. I think the only time Bojangles is somewhat busy is on Sundays when most church people go there for Sunday dinner.
Bojangles is a tourist spot these days at least in my county.

Re: Who should the Hornets draft at #2?
I like Brandon Ingram but he is on track to be the next Brad Beal. Huge numbers on a team that misses playoffs every year. I wouldn’t be pissed if we traded for him but fact NOP is potentially trading him for an unknown is a bit of a red flag.
Zion, just a walking red flag at this point. Charlotte might be the only worse spot than NOP for him to land. Weight issues, women drama, question his love for game, can’t stay healthy and even when he plays he hasn’t proven to be a dominate guy in the playoffs.
If we had one more stud ala along with LaMelo, then I think a move like this would make sense. But I don’t think Lamelo and Ingram really make us that dangerous alone, especially with both about to be on Rookie max extensions.

I think Ingram is slightly better than Beal. And if Mark Williams continues to develop with Bridges returning with high level play that’s a dangerous team. My pipe dream though was Portland trading us Dame for the second pick (not gonna happen but a fan can dream). We really need a proven vet with all these young guys in the starting lineup.

Re: Who should the Hornets draft at #2?
Overall I doubt the package that Pelicans have offered is nearly as good as some had speculated.
Pelicans have a bunch of spare change pieces that I am sure they are offering up
Herb, Dyson, Murphy, 2 bucks picks, 1 lakers pick and all their own picks (including 14 this year).
Doubt they were just offering Zion or Ingram in conversations. They could be interested in Scoot but not be willing to give up either of those guys and still be seen as aggressive.
A bunch of quarters isn't worth me giving up a dollar tho

Dame is Beal in makeup. Both only play on one side of the ball and don't really influence the win column enough for their salary.

Per Yahoo Sports’ Jake Fischer:

Miller has been considered the favorite of the Hornets’ front office, sources told Yahoo Sports, and Charlotte appears headed toward selecting Miller after San Antonio crowns Victor Wembanyama as the No. 1 pick Thursday.

Re: Who should the Hornets draft at #2?
I was 55/45 Miller last week.
I'm 55/45 Scoot now.
Could change again before the draft.

I’ve changed my vote to Scoot. I still like Miller but feel Scoot can bring the talent and leadership needed so badly by this team.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

This leads me to believe Scoot will be the choice but I don't think you're ever going to win anything of substance with a Scoot/LaMelo backcourt. Which is fine. You can always make a decision on either one if there trade value remains high.
I would take Miller. He'll be a good piece no matter what we do going forward.

Copy that. Defense and shooting win championships. Just going on logic Miller would've been my pick. I just think players with his tools are easier to find.

Re: Who should the Hornets draft at #2?
Okay, so day of the draft if it were me pulling the trigger I've settled on Miller. A few reasons:
-Equal talent (imo)
-Fits a need
-Allows us to keep the ball in Melo's hands, which imo is maximizing his talent
-Wings are more valuable than guards, all else equal
-Better defender
-Much better shooter
With that said, I am not a Scoot hater. I think both those guys have potential to be great. The Scoot hype has me a big shook, he is clearly being anointed by the NBA media machine, but I really don't see how he's a tier above Miller. The tape doesn't indicate it, the stats don't indicate it, historical precedent does not indicate it. Just seems like Scoot has better name recognition. I really wish both guys had played in the same league last year for a more direct comparison. The G League is more talented than NCAA, but it's also a more offense-friendly environment (and Scoot still shot like crap) so I don't know what to think about that aspect.
Give me Miller. Scoot is acceptable. Just don't trade for Ingram or Zion.

I do not buy that LaMelo and Scoot co-exist and thrive.
I voted Brandon Miller

Re: Who should the Hornets draft at #2?
Just wanted to go on record to state that I believe if we pass on Scoot it'll be a mistake. I view Miller as a more complementary piece, but I think Scoot has the potential to be the face of the franchise, best player on a perennial playoff team. If we select Miller, I hope he proves me wrong.
