Pretty much the difference in the game.

Difference in the game is PJ and Gordon being absolutely horrid.

Robinson dominating the glass certainly helped them though

I'll allow tonight's takeaway to be that we may have something with the 4Ms (Melo, Miller, Miles, Mark), excited to watch them grow together.

Hayward and PJ were - 18 and - 25 in 30 minutes. Mark was - 1 in 32 minutes.

Crazy we finally have a game where we win the 3pt shooting battle and then we still lose by 14

So when are things gonna change?

Still working hard and optimistic about a 3-9 start and 6 straight home losses?

Is it a matter of our pieces just not fitting together? Feels like when key pieces like Miller and Melo have good games, guys like Hayward and PJ are atrocious and vise versa.

Hayward, PJ, and Mark go a combined 5 for 22 from the floor.

Their NBA Cup court is one of the best looking courts Ive ever seen, easily my favorite of the alternate cup courts, and the alternate jerseys are also sick and match perfectly.

edit: Eric Collins is also the GOAT NBA announcer and Ashley Shahahmadi might be the prettiest girl Ive ever seen.

Time to put Miles in the starting lineup and leave PJ to be a key reserve. Also think Hayward needs to be traded or come off the bench when Rozier returns.

Is Miller ultimately a 3 or a SG?

I know we are just at 12 games, but I am at a loss at this point. Every game is the exact same, the team we play shoots 40%+ from three and we trail by 10-15 ppg 90% of the game. We have been in like 4 of 12 games, the rest we are just held at least a 10 pt stiff arm the entire game. Who is this helping and developing? We play no meaningful basketball.

Our guys seem to be trying, I don't really think they are out there half assing it too often. I am at the point where I feel like it has to be bad scheme on defense. I get we don't have amazing defensive talents but its every game that guys are just hitting 3 after 3 after 3. We shot 49% from field and 49% from three and lost. Cliff is on his last legs if things don't severely change in the next 5 games for me.

I am not even that mad about PJ and Hayward sucking, because the formula to win a game in the NBA shouldn't be every single guy on your team play amazing. When your starting backcourt shoots 22/37 for 63 points you should win.

I would rather see teams get 40 layups at this point and nobody help ever then watch teams make 15-20 threes per game on us. Switch something up Cliff, you can't continue to blame players for playing bad defense when teams literally torch us the same way every single night.

Is packing the paint even doing what it is intended to do? Feels like teams can just walk past our perimeter defenders, and we have to be among the league leaders in opponent and1s. We got some of the softer foulers in the league.

The most frustrating part about this team is that there are plenty of coaches who could make this team 9-3 right now. The talent is there and has been here for several years now. It's the coaching. Boreggo would have actually been perfect for this team. Certainly 7-5 or better with him because the offense is really good and Ball is approaching stardom with his development.

Packing the paint doesn't make sense either. Teams these days bomb 3's. And Mark/Nick are capable interior defenders, this isn't Al Jefferson and Cody Zeller defending the rim.

Chase them off the 3pt line (although we need defenders for that) and make them finish over Mark and Nick. We're one of the few teams in the league that have two athletic 7-footers inside.

Clifford needs to adjust. He keeps saying we're playing bad defense yet hasn't made any adjustments. He can't blame the players if they aren't in proper positions to play well.

I wish I had the answer, I just know whatever we are doing now is producing the same losing results every single game.

It feels like us beating someone by 20 pts isn't even possible and when healthy we have 6 guys who legit can score 30 on the right night. We have talent on this roster imo.

I have it as 1 of 4 things.
1. Teams are just on an incredibly hot shooting run vs us and we are unlucky every night.
2. Clifford Scheme sucks and the players aren't at fault.
3. Clifford scheme is fine and our players just don't try.
4. Clifford scheme is fine and we just don't have the talent on that end.

Clifford does NOT adjust anything. He sets the scheme and plays it out throughout the season. He needs to be fired.

The new owners have paper machete cojones.

Our wins are the Hawks on the 1st game of the season. The Hawks are an average team.
The Wizards by 7 (after we got blown out by them the game before)
And the Pacers by 1.

We could very well be 0-12 or 1-12.

The team is more talented than that. Practically the same team made the play-in a couple times not long ago.

It is not even the fact we are 3-9, it is more how we lose every single game identically to me.

The Orlando Magic have Goga, Paolo, Franz, Cole Anthony, Mo Wagner & Joe Ingles are all in their top 8 mins played this year. They have the 2nd best defense in the league. Are any of those guys exceptional defenders?

Are Suggs and Jonathan Isaac (14 mpg) really elevating their defense that significantly?

Houston has the 4th best defense playing a bad defensive center Sengun and a backcourt of Jalen Green and FVV. I just don't think our guys are incapable of playing of defense and therefore we have the worst defense in the NBA.
