Unlike Cody Zeller, Jon Leuer doesn't lack for confidence. Zeller could very well become as good or even a better version of what Leuer is doing, but it's going to be a transformation project. The radical in me would think "it might be cheaper to trade for Leuer", but the conservative side of myself is thinking "give Zeller time"

Nope, not a chance. I've always liked Jon Leuer, very underrated player. The difference b/w him and Zeller is he actually plays like he's 7 feet tall and has testicles. Zeller would need a personality surgery to play like that.

Zeller is just to weak/skinny at the moment, I want to give him a chance to bulk up.

He's been aggressive on the offensive boards and his defence against Dirk was good in the first half against Dallas.

I still think he could be something.

He's weak in the head. He's already 240 lbs, I don't think another 10-20 is really going to keep him from being sent sprawling towards the floor by everyone.

Dirk defended himself that 1st half, he got open looks, he just didn't knock them down.

I don't understand why everybody keep saying that Zeller need to bulk up. No, he need to learn how to shoot and while he's at it he need to get some arc on his flat shot. Zeller's arms aren't long enough for him to be a banger in the paint even if he did put on another 10 pounds of muscle without getting his shot blocked frequently. He's already struggling to translate into a stretch 4 with open jump shots. It'll only be a harder translation to make him a physical presence. That's just not his game.

his wingspan is the same as Blake Griffins, he doesn't have problems being physical on offense its a mentality thing, Zeller is playing scared

And there's a reason why Blake Griffin isn't much of a post player and is most effective whenever he's able to make that inconsistent midrange jumper he has. Griffin throws up some wild shots in the post over lengthier defenders. His strength is getting out in transition or taking advantage of slower defenders from the high post, the same things Zeller was good at in college but is currently struggling with in the NBA because the speed of the game is different.

Don't look now, but the Utah Jazz are 3-1 over their last 4 games after a 1-13 start to their season since the return, or shall I say debut, of one of my favorite up & coming players, Trey 'Trizzy' Burke. I just wanted to throw that out there

I said before the draft that he would be better than Kemba.

He will be in a year or two.

Yeah, its stupid. He showed none of this in predraft workouts. Didn't he get outplayed by Thomas Robinson in his workout here?

He really didn't do himself any favors in draft workouts, that's for sure. Detroit are lucky to have a player like that.

Let me get this straight, Cho skipped over the opportunity to draft Drummond because we had Biz, and now a year later Drummond is a double-double plus machine while Biz ponders if he'll even get 20 minutes a night. Ha!

SMH. The Kemba haters. I like Burke. He was my favorite college player last year but he's definitely not better than Kemba and likely won't be. How come y'all talk about every young player as if they have room to improve but when it come to Kemba that rule doesn't apply? You guys should be happy to have a PG like Kemba that has a fighting chance against his opposition every night with his competitiveness instead of deadweight like Augustin or Felton that got outplayed 75% of the time.

I will never quite understand the Kemba Walker pessimism on this board either. One of four lottery picks that the Charlotte Bobcats have selected over the past 3 years, Kemba was taken the lowest overall, yet he's the only one that has established himself in this league to the point where he can't be considered a bust. I'm not saying that Biyombo, MKG, or Zeller are bust, but none of them have shaken the label off yet either
