im pretty sure almost everyone on our team is shooting a career low TS%. To think this is how he will be his entire career is dumb. Our team just sucks and our coaching staff sucks at using them.

Bismack is an obvious keeper.

Would you keep Kemba

gawd no.

who else would you pick?

Klay Thompson, Alec Burks, Kawhi Leonard, Nikola Vucevic, Kenneth Faried, Marshon Brooks have all looked better than Kemba and have as much if not more upside.

Heck, Norris Cole has looked better than Kemba - and he was picked 28th overall.

Wow, you'd take all of those players instead of kemba, despite the fact Kemba is 7th in NBA PER amongst rookies( so hes not as inefficient as you think genius), despite being the 9th Pick You sure hate Mr. Walker, and Marshon Brooks is an absolute scrub, he is also a 23 year old rookie.. and you'd take him over Kemba atleast battery knew what he was talking about when he was hating on DJ. the advanced stats and the eye test debunk your crusade.

i laugh at the notion that slam has an agenda against kemba.

i would definitely take faried and klay over kemba... maybe vucevic, maybe the good twin. i havent seen enough of burks to form an opinion yet. i'd probably take kemba over brooks. i am just not a huge brooks fan. i think he'll be an empty stats player. i would take kemba over cole.

Please elaborate.

I'm pretty sure we are seeing the ceilings of both of those guys, Kemba is just a jumpshot away from being leagues better than those 2 IMO.

it what case would any of those players be BPA over Kemba? Faired is the only argument that I can see, but Biyombo and Faried would be absolutely redundant, and Faried has very limited upside, he'll just be a high motorized rebounder that is undersized for the PF position. not only that, there would be no place for him at all if we somehow get Anthony Davis. Same with Vucevic, we already got a poorman version that makes sense as a backup in Mullins. Klay? any 3pt specialist ala Kyle Korver can replace his production, don't make sense to draft him over a PG. Markieef Morris also has very limited upside. Burks? I may be wrong but isn't he struggling with playtime under Raja Bell? Only player I would consider is Kawhi, but even then I think as many "poor man" gerald wallaces out there I think he'd be easy to replace in a future draft, the story of Kemba Walker has not been written.

Hes already had the most successful college career out of any athlete from last years draft, can we at-least let him improve his game over the summer before we cast him to be stoned?

oh, i forgot about leonard. add him to my list.

@ brotherdave - why would you say klay is at his ceiling? he is only 3 months older than kemba. but maybe it was harsh for me to say i would "definitely" take him over kemba. but i would consider it. klay is 6'7" and has a tremendous range on his shot. he is averaging 15ppg this month. at the very least he will be a sniper off the bench for the next decade. he definitely needs to add more to his game. his rebounding is pathetic for a player his size. that must improve if he wants to eventually be a starter.

@ stun - i dont see faried and biyombo as redundant. one is a pf one is a c. i dont exactly view faried as a starter on a great team, but i do see him as a fantastic role player for a long time. he already is an elite rebounder. and even if he never develops much more, you can never have enough great rebounders and high energy guys on your team.

id take kemba over vesely (sorry doc). does that count for something? i'd take kemba over jimmer and probably over NY legend shumpert.

i think my redraft would look something like:

1. kyrie
2. williams
3. tristan
4. biz
5. kanter
6. jonas
7. leonard
8. faried
9. knight
10. klay
11. kemba
12. vucevic
13. shumpert
14. brooks
15. mark morris
16. vesely
17. singleton
18. cole
19. thomas
20. parsons

i dont think that is some huge dis against kemba, to drop him from 9 to 11.

I think a sniper off the bench is what he'll be at the very most (or a starter on a bad team). He's just too slow to make any real improvement in his weak areas. I haven't watched him much but I haven't seen any cerebral passing instincts or anything like that like Curry has to make up for the lack of athleticism. He's one of those guys I foresee having a severe sophomore slump.

I wouldn't hate having Faried on the Bobcats but dear lord our offense would be even worse.

I haven't seen much on Faried but he sounds a lot like Danny Fortson.

Doesn't overly excite me, although can be useful.

fortson minus 100 lbs. for a great rebounder, he is obviously much more in the rodman mold than the fortson mold. (definitely not suggesting he is on the rodman level, just that they are similar in terms of size, maybe a little stronger and a hair taller than rodman). fortson rebounded with his ass, faried rebounds with his speed, quickness and instincts.

and if you want to bring PER into the discussion (since stun mentioned kemba's PER), faried has a PER of 22.4.

per 36 numbers of 16.3pts, 12.8rbs, 1.1blks, 1.8blks
