Was thinking the same about eastern conference player of the week. We're 3-0 and he's putting up good numbers. The best number from his stat line is his FG%. He's shooting way over 50% the last 5 games. Kemba is still young, only 23 years old.

That's the part that make me mad when people evaluate him. They act as if he's 25 or 27 or something. He still has a lot of room to grow and he's already quite spectacular by Bobcats standards.

Kemba is averaging 22.6/5.1/4.1/1.6/0.7 and shooting 50/40/85 in ten December games. If that isn't an all-star stat line, I don't know what is.

Too bad there are players on teams with worser records who will get the nod over Kemba (John Wall, Kyrie Irving,..and maybe Michael Carter Williams or Deron Williams).

Deron Williams is averaging 12/7 and is one of the main reasons Brooklyn is where they are. He isn't sniffing the all-star game until his season takes a 180 turn. Though he's averaging 17/10 in December, so I guess that's helpful. Still doubt he makes it.

Wall is averaging 19/9- those are all-star numbers. Kyrie is averaging 22/6 on the season but Kemba is doing better than him this month and significantly. MCW... His numbers are insane for a rookie 17/7.5/5.6/3.1 but Philly is just so bad. With Rondo and Rose out and no other point guards worth noting, the three best of Irving, Wall, Kemba, MCW, and Jennings will be making the all-star game. If we continue playing as well as we have recently, Kemba is going to the All-Star game. People will eventually notice that we're at (or possibly well above) 500 and Kemba is by far the biggest reason why.

The out of nowhere MCW hype is the most annoying of them all. When do we play the Sixers so Kemba can outplay him too?

The thing about MCW is that he was supposed to be horrendous as a rookie. I expected his FG% to be worse than Kemba's and for him to average 10/4/2 and be a non-factor while leading Philly to a 10-win season, and I definitely wasn't the only person thinking that. MCW is averaging something like 17/8/5/3, has triple-doubles and nearly recorded a quadruple double in his debut to beat the Heat. I'm not sold that MCW will be a star as I think a lot of this is him putting up mad numbers on a bad team, but he is far superior than anybody expected. I think his super-hot start is gone, and his numbers will fall significantly by the all-star break, but as of right now, his numbers are all-star caliber.

There are only two PGs in the east better than Walker right now and thats Wall and Irving. Teague had a tremendous start but hes fell off of late.

We'll find out if Kemba will win Eastern Conference Player of the Week tomorrow. Over the course of 4 games during that span he's averaged 27 points on .594 (38-64) shooting, including .526 (10-19) from beyond the arc, 5 rebounds, 3 assist, and 2 steals in 37 minutes per game as Charlotte had a 3-1 record

I haven't paid much attention to any other individual player(s) in the Eastern Conference having such a breakout performance through the week so I want to ask "is there another player equal or more deserving of the honor?"

Nobody except for LeBron if they so choose to go that route again the thousandth time.

Thaddeus Young has averaged 23 points on .560 shooting (.875 from three, 7/8), 6.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.7 blocks. But Philly went 1-2 over that stretch.

That's the best one I could come up with off the top of my head.

I guess that settles it. LeBron James indeed had a strong week, and it's more likely that he'll win ECPOW over Kemba. I just can't see them overlooking LeBron to give Kemba credited exposure. The taint of the Bobcats name will strike again

Young has played well for us over the week. He didn't play much defense, and he got outrebounded by his opposition in some of those contests, but he certainly helped his trade value

The NBA will never miss out on a opportunity to big up The King. It's just the way it is. I would be shocked & appalled if Kemba win ECPOW with LeBron having such gaudy numbers in a 4-0 week

He averaged 24/8/8 on 69% (!!!) shooting though. That's **** insane.

Is it four games? One of them happened last Saturday then. Do they include it?

I made a mishap. Miami were 3-0 over the week. The Saturday game isn't included

Kemba would be the first Bobcat to win the award in nearly 4 years.

Captain Jack won it on January 17, 2010.

29.3 points on .604 shooting (.529 from three), 6.7 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 3.3 steals per game for a 3-0 record.
