And the Hornets already had a good dude and let him sign with Golden State.
Wonder if Robert Williams is healthy?

Re: 2024 Offseason Thread
Reggie Jackson and 2 2nds for Dayron Sharpe could make some sense.
Peterson was in Bkn when Sharpe was drafted.
We can't aggregate Reggie with another player in a trade, but we can send him out in a 1:1

I think we are going to have to use the trade deadline in December now
Of course, if Mark is injured a lot, we'll be bad and just tank

Re: 2024 Offseason Thread
The Knicks, per Begley, have also stayed in touch with former Raptor and half-season Knickerbocker Precious Achiuwa for a potential reunion in New York next season via restricted free agency.
“(The Knicks) have been in touch with Precious Achiuwa. He has drawn interest from several contenders. I believe he has a couple offers on the table there. Now let’s see where Achiuwa goes in the next few days

Re: 2024 Offseason Thread
The PTSD from year upon year of Hornets inertia and black hole communications still lingers...
Will new management - whom have gotten off to a rare good start - acknowledge the obvious and quickly, or in a timely manner, address a critical area of need?
Will anyone say anything to quell fan anxiety?
Are fears founded that the Charlotte Hornets will intentionally attempt to lose this season...again?
Is there any evidence, any at all, that Mark Williams will be able to play meaningful basketball?
Will MasterIchiro finally reveal himself to all knowing parties that he has been, and always shall be, Kelly Tripucka?
I, for one, will remain in my dark, thumb-sucking corner, stealing glances at the ESPN crawler until all has been answered.

Re: 2024 Offseason Thread
Pistons claimed Reed off waivers.
So it looks like we're riding with Richards as the backup. Not many options left. Daniel Theis?

Re: 2024 Offseason Thread
the refusal of the front office to address the lack of depth at center...again... is worrying.

Re: 2024 Offseason Thread
At this point I'm willing to offer Tre Mann + Heat 1st for Kessler.
We have a surplus of PG's, a shortage of C's. We should be buying into this aftermarket for centers like Kessler.
He's so redundant with Mark, but we can't seem to get our clutches in a mobile energy big who can shoot a little and who plays with physicality.
The options seem to be ticking off the list.
Achiuwa supposedly has multiple bidders and has been pursued by contenders all this time.

Re: 2024 Offseason Thread
And of course you can do nothing about the Pistons having 1st dibs on the waiver wire to claim Paul Reed. They earned the league-worst record. Now they have Duren, Beef Stew and Paul Reed.
Can't wait for all 3 to bully Nick as we go winless against the Pistons.

Not sure it’s refusal. Didn’t know Reed could be claimed off of waivers, but I’d venture a guess Detroit was higher than us.
Who’s out there worth spending money on? The answer is not many. If anything, this FO has proven to be savvy. Give them some time.

Shewwww that heat first could be very valuable with Butler getting older.

Kessler got bodied by Zach Edey. He's a Richards level center. Pass

I'd trade Mann + 2 2nds for him. Not a first.

Agree Kessler does nothing for me. Would rather sign Shepard from the summer league verses giving up assets for that option.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.
