Great hire imo. Get someone in there that can attract good recruits, KEEP good recruits (Horn chased a ton of players away), and win games. Best if we can poach Kansas State of several decent players like we did with Cincinnati a few years ago.

Not really sure how I feel about the possible Martin hire. I haven't been a fan of his as a coach, but like that he's got that "play well or I'll stab you with a fork" mentality.

I've seen too many of the basketball players waltz around like they're the most amazing thing in the world the day after getting beat by 15 (again). I want to see how many leave the school after Martin puts one in place.

Well considering we had three (I think) guys leave this year, how worse can he do? Two of them have played well for their new schools too. At the worst, we're going to have an upgrade from Ellington. Horn relied too much on a terrible shooter that's obviously committed to playing football.

He has some good pieces to work with. Damien Leonard should be a better Bill Walker. Find a legit big guy and get this year's underachievers back on track (I'm looking at you Lakeem) and there's no reason why we can't do NIT next year.

The "report" is that Martin was #1 but we really wanted Tommy Amaker. Marshall's name was thrown around but wasn't considered (apparently the college didn't think he would be a good fit) and I heard Tubby Smith too.

Should have hired Larry Brown for the lulz.

Fat Frenchie:
""I am very happy to be with one of the best teams in the league. The big difference between the Bobcats and Spurs is the fact that these two teams are not aimed at all the same goals. In Charlotte, the goal of the season was to try to fight to hold on eighth place in the playoffs. In San Antonio, it's another world. The sole objective of the franchise is to fight for the title."

Either Boris is attempting to be politically correct or he totally doesn't get what we have been doing all season long.

He's just being honest. Sounds like he doesn't want to be on a losing team to me.

I commented in the other team thread about his play.

They haven't lost a game since he signed there, so I can imagine he would be on a bit of a high.

And Tony Parker seems to talk about him like a long lost love.

The two Frenchmen have a long history together. "It was funny, when Pop said that Boris was in the starting five it felt like a dream," Parker said. "Growing up and going to high school together both dreaming about the NBA, I never thought I would ever be in the starting five with him and with the Spurs, the best team in the NBA. It's just a great feeling and it's been a great two-to-three weeks since he's been here and we haven't even lost a game yet."

How did I miss out on this? Have the Hornets had some more actors doing their introductions other than Sam and Ferrell?

It started off with the highlights of the Pistons game, then they threw some random jabs at us in between segments and yes, we were featured on shaqtin a fol as well

This is the first week in the entire season I'm winning the free-throw percentage category in my fantasy league. Championship, here I come (I hope)!

Iguodala, Wallace, Rondo, and Griffin really don't help that cause at all.

A video very similar to mine upcoming LolCats one about the horrible decade the Knicks had:

I love the way it's been edited.

Awesome, those Knicks executed the "patented 4th quarter collapse" better than anyone.

Detroit fan of general board are adorable - the thread is still going and for the lack of arguments, the idea of Jordan the GM making the picks is back :)
