I'm going to bet that Hendo signs the QO and becomes an UFA next summer.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

I hope you're right. I don't mind Henderson as long as it's for 1 year and as long as he makes bench player money.

Charlotte would be positioned to deal Henderson, Gordon and/or Sessions at the deadline and we could add 2-3 more picks.

IF hendo plays on the QO, we would then have potentially 22 mil in cap space next summer when hendo, sessions and gordon come off the books.

no, I doubt he shoots nearly as well as Morrow and thats his only skill. I think he's summer league fodder

That's the perfect amount for Rudy Gay :D

I'm kidding.

Have any targets in mind via FA or trade for that money?

I looked and I wasn't floored by anything outside of Gordon Hayward and I'm not in love with him by any means

That's about all I came up with as well. But cap space is an asset at the very least.

So lets assume we do not sign Gerald Henderson, even though I believe we will, but you never know a team like Dallas, OKC, Atlanta, Denver, Cleveland, Philly, Detroit, or Lakers may throw bigger money at him than we want to match..

What are your best case scenarios to replace him for this season? Whether it be internally, signing free agents, or making a realistic trade.

I know a couple guys have been discussed such as Dorell Wright, Anthony Morrow, and Francisco Garcia..

Some others:
Randy Foye
Gary Neal
Nick Young
Wesley Johnson
Roger Mason Jr.
Chauncey Billups
Corey Brewer
Rodrigue Beaubois
Wayne Ellington
Daniel Gibson
Daequan Cook
Devin Harris
Dahntay Jones
Andrew Goudelock
Cartier Martin
Toney Douglas
Ronnie Brewer
Carlos Delfino
Michael Redd
Terrence Williams
Josh Selby

We could probably get two of these guys vs just Hendo, but I am just thinking back up plans...

Wayne Ellington and Anthony Morrow can both stroke it and have ties to NC. I would not mind signing these guys as place holders and would be very good at spacing the floor in the starting lineup.

Then we would still have enough money to just take a chance on somebody as high risk high reward such as Roddy Buckets, guy still has big potential and missed most of last year so he could be really cheap.

That's funny that Ellington is being brought up b/c he and Gerald are huge friends. Can't say I'm really excited about any possible Hendo replacements. Toney Douglas used to be really good but just fell off for some reason.

garcia now off the board with a 2 year vet min deal.

what teams have enough cap space left to offer hendo a decent deal? hawks, mavs and cavs?

i wonder if the mavs or hawks are considering a deal for hendo. mavs lost mayo and hawks dont really have a solid sg until williams is back fully healthy and even then he is more combo guard.

calderon, hendo, marion, dirk, ??

teague, hendo, korver, milsap, horford

Garcia and now Dorell Wright, two guys I would've liked.
