Biz can't even catch yet lol

I have a lot more faith in Biz catching passes than I do MKG getting a competent J. Flat, released on the way down, with a hitch. That's about as bad as it gets. I don't care how much practice he gets, old habits die hard.

Agreed on the first point but not on the second. Hyphen has been probably shooting like that since maybe middle school? Around the age players start really playing the game. So lets say 13. He's only 19 now. So 6 years. Give him another 10 years in the league and he'll almost spent twice that amount of time attempting to remake his shot. He'd be 29 at that point and still have many good years left.

Let's not forget that in highschool MKG was a power forward. Let's also not forget that four years ago Biz was just starting to learn baskeball at any level.

I can't forget. How can I forget as I watch him throw a layup over the rim just because somebody contested it? How can I forget when every time he catch the ball under the basket he has to take almost 3 seconds just to gather himself? That's the reason why I'm becoming so pessimistic about him. The only difference between Biyombo's offensive skill set and a 6'1 middle school center is their size, and yet still the kid might be a little bit more skilled.

MKG should easily make the All-Rookie 1st Team. That's a bright spot. I just wish that we gave him the ball on the low block more. It would help our halfcourt offense.

MKG, Kemba and Biz all might have a shot at the Rookie Vs Sophmore game.

MKG and Kemba for sure. Biz is probably on the bubble.

Biz won't make it. Other players deserve it over him.

Some combination of Kanter, Vucevic, Faried, Derrick Williams, Tristan Thompson, Leonard, and Parsons will make the sophomore team frontcourt. Kemba's a lock though.

So do I. Now making contested jumpers on the other hand...

I guess the point I'm trying to make is that MKG's shot will need to be completely broken down before it can be fixed. Biz's game is raw; he's unmolded clay. He doesn't have to unlearn any bad habits, he's just learning period.

I do think Biz would be progressing a lot faster if we had a decent bigman coach. Kind of wish we gave Ewing a job.

Cha_77_bobcats loves him some DWill. He can't seem to comprehend that he is a complete and utter bust.

It's too early to call Derrick Williams a bust. He's actually playing half decent this season, averaging 18 points and 9 rebounds per 36. His minutes are just low. Like CHA_77_Bobcats said Williams will make the Rising Stars Challenge before Biyombo this year.

The minutes are his only true problem at the moment. With Love out, check his last three games:

18 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, 6-10 FG, 2-3 3P in 17 minutes vs. Portland
17 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist, no TOs, 7-13FG, 3-5 3P in 21 minutes vs. ATL
14 points, 11 rebounds, 1 TO, 7-15 FG in 27 vs. OKC

And you think this guy won't make it over a very inconsistent Biyombo? His rebounding has been great lately, but every time he posts a decent game, he follows it up with a 2-point stinker where he blows four open layups.

And as a starter in place of Love (9 games): 10.3 points, 35.6% shooting, 5.7 rebounds.

He's better than Biyombo, but then again, who isn't?

He is a full year older than biz averaging less rebounds, less blocks, and shooting a lower percentage. Averaging 6 more points per game hardly makes him a better player. If you think it does take that arguement up with the guys on this board who consider Tyson Chandler a top five center.

sophomore players for game

kyrie, klay, parsons, faried, vucevic, kemba, knight, leonard, tristan

do they take 9 or 10? if only 9 then that should be your team. if its 10 then the last spot is a fight between:
rubio (no way they leave him out if he can play, too much media hype not to include him)
i. thomas
morris twins
kanter
biz
shumpert (if healthy)

i pretty much see about 0.00001% chance biz makes the team.

I don't see Biz making it. He'd probably look even more foolish in a game where his teammates don't know how to get him the ball in the easiest possible way for him.

But I'll be happy to see Kemba and MKG highlighting our Bobcats squad.

http://www.sheridanhoops.com/2013/01/17 ... week-11/2/

sheridan hoops has MKG down to #10 on their rookie rankings.

MICHAEL KIDD-GILCHRIST, F, CHARLOTTE: Fading fast, just like his team. After shooting 56 percent from the field in December, he is down to 39 percent in January. Had a pair of four-point stinkers this week and aside from hitting the boards hard isn’t filling the boxscore the way he did earlier this season.
