There is a zero percent chance this is true.

Took less than 12 hours.

I'm surprised that UNCNYC isn't talking up Coby White or Nassir Little.

What's up with that dude?

I still feel like the odds of this pick being traded are really high. Keeps me from getting too excited about any given prospect.
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

I think we keep the pick. If we can't move our albatross contracts, then we need to find at least 1 rotation player in this draft. Whoever we take at 12 will probably get minutes from day 1 especially if they can shoot the damn basketball.

For instance:

#12 for #20, #22, and #51

Charlotte needs some cheap rotation players and Boston doesn't need to add 3 first round rookies. Boston ends up with 12 and 14 for two lottery picks they could package in a trade to move up

Charlotte hopefully gets two of Nickeil Alexander-Walker, PJ Washington, Brandon Clarke, Keldon Johnson, Luka Samanic, Goga Bitadze, Kevin Porter,or KZ Okpala, all of which they are rumored to like and at least two will be there.

I would LOVE us to make that trade. With our picks hopefully we could have a dream draft like this.

#20- Luka Samanic or Jalen Mcdaniels if not available
#22- Bruno Fernando. or Mfiondu Kabengele if not available
#36-Jalen McDaniels or Deividas Sirvydis if not available
#51-Joshua Obiesie or Terrance Mann if not available
#52-B.J. Taylor or Kerwin Roach if not available

Man that would be a whole new roster and all of those players could possibly still be there at those selections

I want one of Romeo/NAW and Goga/Claxton. If they can make that happen by trading back I would much rather do that than take someone like Brandon Clarke or Hachimura at 12. There are some players who I would just take at 12 rather than trading back, but I think teams have been getting better at drafting and I'm not counting on any of the top 10 guys I like being there at 12.

I think I'm leaning towards Langford as my top target, but NAW is an easier fit for our roster next season, although I don't think he has as high of a ceiling as Romeo.

I'm not sure who I prefer between Goga or Claxton. Claxton seems like a better fit for where the league is headed, but might be more of a project.

I think my absolute ideal draft would be using 12 to trade back for two mid to late 1sts then consolidating some of our early 2nds to trade back into the late 1st and get a PF. Romeo/NAW + Goga/Claxton + Samanic (might be available 36 anyways?).

Kemba/Monk/Graham
Bacon/Romeo or NAW
Miles/Batum
Marv/MKG/Samanic
Cody/Goga or Claxton/Biz

Thats not great, but a really solid start at building around Kemba after his new contract kicks in and there is some possibility that Lamb or Frank could be retained. Things start to look better once Marv/MKG/Cody/Batum contracts start to come off the books.

I think Kemba is resigned and the 1st is traded along with contracts for something, probably to Houston.

Getting another rookie to develop just doesn’t fit with the timeline and we have two 2nds too.

If Kemba is gone then I think we keep the 1st and I also think we will be a top 3 crap team next year.

The team is going to need a bunch of cheap rookie scale deals to offset Kemba's big new deal. They absolutely should not trade it.

That said I'm fully expecting them to trade it

Timeline for what though? With or without Kemba this team will still be one of the five worst teams in the NBA next season. How long must they be mired in irrelevant mediocrity for fans to say “enough is enough”?

Very much so. I get the injury problems but his skill set as a big is so intriguing.

I think I just found the BEST center in the draft. So I wake up 3 in the morning and I decided to look at a player or two. Now maybe I am a bit sleepy (I highly doubt it) but this guy could be the best center in the draft. I didn't realize how much I underrated him. He has point forward skills, soft hands in a Charles Oakley body. His name is Tyler Cook. My depth chart has now been UPDATED lol.

PICK 1
Jarrett Culver
Luka Samanic
Jalen McDaniels
Joshua Obiesie - Lottery Talent
-----
PICK 2
Tyler Cook
B.J. Taylor
Deividas Sirvydis
Isaiah Roby
-----
PICK 3
Troy Baxter Jr - Star Potential
Terrence Mann
Vanja Marinkovic
V.J. King
Jordan Bone
Kerwin Roach
Mcdowell White

Luke Maye?!!?

Tall, white, and went to UNC?!? MJ has already drafted you bro.

More seriously though I'm glad we're taking a look at a high upside player like Kevin Porter. Keldon Johnson would also be a good option if a trade back were to happen.

I have no idea where to rank this kid. There is something about him that has a huge "it" factor and then something that says waste of a pick. His name is Arturs Zagars (kinda cool name). I would gamble on him with our 2nd, 2nd because he does have quite a bit of potential but just not sure. Reminds me of Steve Nash, Tony Parker and Klay Tompson. He has become a favorite of mine but still not sure how much of one lol.

Their breakdown of him starts at the 37 second mark of this video

he has slow feet and lacks lateral quickness. this is most likely not going to be a problem on offense because he can shoot over guys but he is going to struggle on defense.

I think I’m out on Kevin Porter Jr. He has a ton of natural talent, but seems like something is off with him.

He has a lower shot release, is not a very good off the ball player who tends to stand too much. Isn’t a good decision maker with the ball who had more turnovers then assists this year.

He shot 52 percent from Free throw line so it’s not like he is a pure shooter. Only averaged 17 ppg per 40, which is underwhelming considering he is billed as a scorer.

Doesn’t get to the rim much as 73 percent of his shots are jumpers. A poor defender who lacks effort and has questions about work ethic.

Not saying they are same player, but I feel like Monk can do a lot of what he does and no guarantee that Porter does it any better.
