Re: Around the NBA 13
Watching ATL-ORL now, turns out the Hawks are like the anti-Hornets in terms of roster construction. Lots of length and defense, but barely any reliable shooting or shot creation. Trae's trying, but I just watched him drive inside and get spun like a top by the Magic frontline. Snyder has his work cut out for him.

Spurs are going to be right up there with OKC for years to come. They really have something with Wemby/Castle/Harper trio.
They also got a all-star guard out with Fox.
Wouldn't shock me if the Spurs are in the WCF this year.

He got better as the game went on but playing him at PG is not helping his game.
Ace has been even worse. 0-5 so far tonight. Maybe hurt and both guys should be good when they adjust to the NBA.
Harper pretty mid too. VJ is ROY of the first games, lol.

Bailey has to be hurt or something. Awful.
Balllin wrote:Zion Williamson is 6-5, with a 6-10 wingspan. I see him as a slightly better Kenneth Faried.

Putting an 18 year old who has never played PG before at PG is just a rather interesting move.

I still don’t know why Beal thought Clippers was a good idea. Same problem there as playing alongside booker and Durant.
Bucks would have been a much better fit. I guess he didn’t want to move to Milwaukee

Re: Around the NBA 13
Rockets and Mavs, the two teams that desperatly need a pg started 0-2 each. The Rockets lost to the Pistons last night and the Mavs lost to the Wizards (lol).
I could see either of these teams paying a premium for Sexton or Tre Mann. Mavs might also blow it up and rebuild around flagg. Maybe we could snag Anthony Davis and/or PJ Washington.
Suns got blown out hard by the Clippers last night. Mark Williams was terrible going 1-5 in 14 min.
Ace Baily 1-5 on opening night followed by 0-5 last night. I can't believe people thought this guy was going to be good when his only nba skill is a mid range jumper.

Sexton, Pat, Josh Green and Salaun matches the salary. 2027 Mavs pick, 2027 Heat pick, 2026 Hornets pick, 2028 Hornets pick.
Do you like it that much?
I don't know if Anthony Davis is going to be on the trade block. There will be somebody good we can get though, if we want to use that kind of package.
Or we could try to sign a free agent with the money (Cam Thomas?) and keep the picks for ourselves.

It's a good start, but they would probably want Kon instead of Salaun.GoBobs wrote:JustBuzzin wrote:I would take AD in a heartbeat.GoBobs wrote:Rockets and Mavs, the two teams that desperatly need a pg started 0-2 each. Re: Around the NBA 13
i think ace has been sick this week, plus the knee tenonitis
shot diet is same as preseason, just not hitting them
he'll come off bench as long as kesler, lauri and filipowski are healthy... i guess they could start him at sg over svi (who i always liked when he was here)
he'll be fine. shot is too good.

confirmed... ace has been recovering from flu or covid. explains a lot. he'll prob take svi's spot once he's 100%.

I cannot imagine spending that much for the privilege of paying 32 year old Anthony Davis to be hurt and have his game fall off on our watch

Re: Around the NBA 13
Fats goes on another capitalism rant.
Reminds me of the recent Hulu series Alien Earth, which is really good if you're a fan of the Alien movies.
very tiny spoiler alert, but not really. Most of this is just general world setting that's given away in the first 5 minutes of the first episode.
The premise of the show is in the future End stage capitalism has gotten so bad that basically there are like five super duper mega corporations, Each owned by a trillionaire level narcissist, that have split the world like countries with each mega corporation owning a section of the world, and each also doing off world exploration in space. example: Google/alphabet owns North America, amazon owns South America (duh), Apple owns Asia, Nvidia owns Africa, tesla owns Antarctica, meta owns Australia, and Microsoft owns Europe. When an exploration spacecraft owned by one of these trillionaire corporations crashes down in an area of earth owned by another trillionaire corporation They start a fight over who owns the cargo on the crashed Spaceship. Does the cargo belong to the narcissist trillionaire who owned the spaceship or the narcissist trillionaire who owned the Area of Earth where it crashed. Of course the only reason they care is because the spaceship has recovered extraterrestrial species (Which could have infinite value). of course, unknown, to the narcissist trillionaires, those extraterrestrial species are the most terrifying organisms in the universe and can't be controlled or caged for long. And they're basically willing to destroy the planet to gain control over these species, to one up each other.
Moral of the story - no amount of money is ever enough, consequences be damned.
