Same for me.

It's way too late now to do anything about it, but I took it as all players having been on a professional roster at least at some point in their career

Shane Heal played in the NBA though?

I remembered you saying a couple of years ago how much you hated Heal Sachmo - me saying I wanted to snap him up before you did was a joke.

Now, if I had said Scott Fisher............

He did play in the Atlanta Olympics for Australia.....

I thought you might have gone for Gaze, he played point guard for Tigers for a few years.

I'm going to go for a Hall of Famer to fill in as 3rd string point guard. Nice luxury to have.

Calvin Murphy

"Pound for pound, nobody played with more heart than Calvin Murphy. This big 5-foot-9 dynamo played pressure basketball at both ends of the court. He was a penetrator supreme on offense who could stop on a dime and stick a jump shot. His aggressive, belly-to-belly style also made him a top-notch defensive player despite guarding bigger players."

Best year 21pts, 7.3 assists, 1.8 steals, 2,5 rebounds.

not to bag on your pick sachmo, because at this point its a good pick, but the fact that calvin murphy is in the hall of fame is ridiculous, imo.

dude was decent over a long period, but he was never great at any time.

1 all-star appearance
0 all-nba 1st, 2nd or 3rd team selections
0 all-defense 1st or 2nd team selections
had only 2 seasons where he averaged over 5 assists.

should he get in the hall of fame for his free throw shooting? perhaps it was partly due to his college numbers. did he get a midget bonus?

just glancing through the HOF list he is the name that jumps out to me.

I can't decide on my wing, so I'll go ahead and pick up my final big man.

I feel like my team needs another bully. So why not add one of the craziest dudes the league has ever seen? My next pick made a habit of smashing heads up in New York. Him, Oakley, and Ewing were three guys you did NOT want to meet in the post. And it doesn't hurt that he was one of the most versatile players in the 90s.

He was always a beast defensively, but his best season actually came when he was in Charlotte and was allowed to assert himself more on the offensive end of the floor. That year, he put up:

16 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, 52.5% FG, 74.5% FT

Agree with you Fats he is a rather underwhelming Hall Of Famer.
Still sounds cool saying that my 3rd string point guard is one though.

I'm not going to pretend to know much about him, but looking at his bballref page, he'd be pretty good as a bench sparkplug, over a 13 year career he only averaged less than 20 twice. that's pretty good if you ask me.

As a 3rd unit/5th guard off the bench, that's pretty good value, even in this draft

If we had had a son we would have named him Mason. We think it's an awesome first name for a boy.

"I'm Gonna Kill You" was in the running for his middle name too.

Should've been my middle name

My mom used that more than my first name.

Uhh, let's see... I already have my top 12 starters, so these last three guys are basically just reserves, right?

In that case, I'm getting strategic.

Naturally he's going to be my player coach, meaning his "peak" for my purposes is the age of 50. Also because I really don't want this guy:

Forget about not wanting him playing ball. I wouldn't want him near my kids.

Well, this category isn't very full, so I'm just going to nab a name that stands out for "Relatives":
Jerry Stackhouse, brother of some dude named Tony Dawson (??).

I was going to go with a coach with my last pick but figured it'd be viewed as too cheesy. Oh well, I guess I can just say my team is built for Pat Riley as head coach?

Also, has Stack officially announced his retirement? I know he played a handful of games last year, so I thought he was ineligible.
