Exactly!!! Who would have expected J.R. Smith out of all the people to go for less money to be on a good team!? He could have easily got a whole lot more on a tanking team. The crazy part is that he's pretty much in his prime and if he would be able to sort things out in his head, he could be a good starting 2 guard. I actually feel bad for him - he probably thinks that the Knicks are capable of winning a title and that he wants to be there when it happens.

They will be capable if they trade either Melo or Stoudemire.

Mahinmi would have been a very good fit here to team with Biz imo. His contract w/ IND reported to be 4 yr 16 mln. At 4 mln per yr he would have been a great get for CHA. Too bad we couldn't have swung him for DJA.

Or after having to live through years of Gana we didn't want another over paid, stiff Dallas reject C?

Collison must've been really bad last year. Indy fans unanimously wanted him gone after the playoffs

He is just so small, They clearly liked Hill better and with good reason. Collison isn't really great at anything. For a guy his size he has to have blazing speed at least, or be a really good knock down shooter. He is/has neither.

Houston just traded Courtney Lee to Boston for their 40,000th power forward JaJuan Johnson.

What a damn steal for Boston. :o

Yeah, but I'm continually impressed by HOU GM Mowrey, who got yet another asset for someone he could've just let walk.

I'm not. This had much more to do with Boston not having the cap space to sign Lee outright than Morey acquiring assets.

Boston sent their trash back. Guys who weren't getting PT. Johnson might be a player and I really like Moore but the C's didn't need either player.

warriors may have just hopped on the treadmill with the moves they made this season, but for a franchise that is starving for some playoff action, you have to give them credit for the moves they have made this year. they are legitimately 2 deep at every position.

pg: curry/jack
sg: thompson/rush
sf: barnes/jefferson
pf: lee/landry
c: bogut/biedrens

IF (and its a big IF) curry and bogut are healthy they could be a playoff team for sure. bogut will make them light years better defensively. he won't be able to cover for all the soft defenders, but he will certainly help a ton.

It'll probably go to a fifth team if Houston makes a big trade.

Dubs really seem to have some depth as they also have that rookie big Ezeli (probably will play some minutes as Biedrins will be inconsistent as always), Draymond Green and Jenkins who will see some PT when Curry hurts his ankle again. And that's why I don't believe in them. Can't you imagine this team starting on an average note with an 6-7 record and then Curry and Bogut getting hurt and being out for the next three weeks... then getting back out on the court and then again missing games. this team doesn't convince me and as it is with the Warriors sadly that's the only argument I need - they're the **** Warriors. I hope I'm wrong as I've watched quite a lot of Golden State's teams and some of them are among my all-time favorites, but I just don't see this roster having credibility of being a lock for, let's say, 40 wins. many solid players, no great players as the two who could achieve that level have injury problems quite often.

The Warriors will not be very good, probably. Coach Jackson hangs his hat on defense and nobody on his team plays any except for maybe Bogut who is a freak accident away from being injured.

you got to give Jackson credit though. I loved how last year on the opening night they had him wired and we could hear the Warriors time-out huddle after one of the runs by the Bulls. And the message Mark gave them was: "Hey, if you want another poor season keep playing like that. If you want to win, let's start taking some good shots and stop senselessly running."

Bottom line - he's really trying to change the style of the team and the Warriors franchise really need a new positive era.
